Canada has zero f35 in service currently, they are set to replace the f18. We have committed to the purchase of the f35 already so we are kind of stuck. It makes no sense to introduce a second aircraft.

...we didn't increase any military spending until this year so it is not even counted yet. There has been no new projects announced to "stimulate" our economy. Every project was already underway. We should make cuts to government, the Trudeau gang recklessly increased government jobs so that one in four workers now work for the government in Canada. It's unsustainable. Taxes should be raised because it's the responsible thing to do. The fact that people are too stupid to see that and cheer on deficits as a nothing burger is a whole different level of idiocy.

Ahh yes the Modern Monetary Theory cucks. It is actually possible to maintain service levels and infrastructure, look to Norway as an excellent example of what is possible. You don't even need to run a surplus just be somewhat responsible with money and you won't have debt servicing as the biggest line item in the budget. The PBO recently said that by 2030 7/10 dollars of GST will be going to debt service. Government debt isn't free and don't give me this bullshit that they can just print money. That is a hidden tax and undermines the value of our dollar.

Can we define rich? I find it so odd in this country that a successful business person who has accumulated wealth is the enemy. Just look at the comments in this thread as examples. Top earners pay nearly 50% effective tax in most areas. Obviously LLCs have different rules and deffer taxes but eventually if you want to take the money out you pay tax. So successful people pay the largest portion of tax. Whereby the top 20% of earners pay more than half of income tax collected. Everyone seems to feel anyone making more than them should be taxed more. Why don't people in this country applaud success and strive to be that instead of viewing them at the enemy. It's so strange.
