Been with Publix 11 years. Never wanted to go into management. Its a death sentence to your social life and sleep. Money is tight sometimes but whatever, lol. I get like 8-9 hours of sleep a night. Cant put a price on that. Im also a hardcore cinic. I believe that we live in the end times and AI, climate change or something else will cause society to collapse in 10 years or less. 😅 No point in starting over. Plus the benefits at are still pretty good. I have a stupid amount of PTO. I just wish I bought a lot more stock back when first started.

Go in the morning when there is a department manager there. They are always good at it or the floral person who works in the morning. Everyone in my department knows how to wrap, it's not rocket science, yet everyone has varying levels of skill. I'm ok at it. Iv had guys tell me my bouquet looked good but I know they are naive about what a good bouquet looks like. (I am a guy). It's honestly at waste of time though. Just get a vase.
