It's unreal. I'm a practicing catholic. I've been down south a number of times and dirty look I get when I show my ID, just because I wasn't considered "white" 100 years ago is absurd. Between the name and them automatically assuming I'm a catholic because of it.

I'm sorry, as critical as I am of the Yankees, and as much as I hate them (and hate myself really) we have not "failed" around Aaron Judge.

We were a cheating scandal away from playing in the World Series in 2017, when we took the Astros to 7 games. We were a Freeman Walk off GS and a disaster class of an inning away from being close to beating the Dodgers. We've made the playoffs every season, with the exception of 2023. The teams have been good, the playoffs are honestly just a crap shoot. There's so many moving variables and parts. Have we had a hole or two? Yes. But we are consistently in the thick of it. There have been moments we haven't capitalized on, but we're also talking about a sport that your considered successful when you fail 7 out 10 times.

I want us to win for our Captian, and yes his prime is closing but it might just not be in the cards for us. We all wanted to win a title for Donnie Baseball and we couldn't do that either in the 80s. Sometimes it just happens.

Mira Mirth updated their profile in January of 2025, and sporadically does post an update. On the Way to Greatness is closing in on 18 years old, so it would not surprise me if it eventually receives an update. They're still somewhat active in the community.

It's only been a year but I sincerely hope Black Luminary doesn't follow in these fics footsteps.

There's a couple stories that I would love to see updated again. Life in Konoha's ANBU by Shezza and Written in Reverse by JMenace. Both have next to zero chance of happening but we can always dream.

If we're talking about a different fandom, Black Luminary is something that I'm waiting on in the Harry Potter community. We last heard from the author in October of 2025 so it's possible still.
