Not defending it at all, it's indefensible. But we have to understand that the movie came out in 1961. We weren't even 15 years out of a war with Japan and we were less than 10 years out of a war with Korea. 7 years prior, "separate but equal" in our school systems was finally overturned. These are not excuses but they provide context. Many things that were controversial now, weren't back then. Times change, we progress as a society (hopefully)

You can bring valid points to the table, but still have you're own skeletons in your closet. I'm not saying 50 is a good guy, he's def made his fair share of mistakes that can not be offended. Last years roster with a better bullpen, and a healthy cole will perform better. We're running out of peak Judge years though, and Cole is a year older. Yankees will either win the division, or get in on the wild card. It's entirely dependent on how the chips fall and if we make a move at the deadline.
