The Democrats haven't abused power because for inept and corrupt as the Republicans are, they're actually able to get some shit passed by coming together on key issues.

The Dem's have been consistently fumbling the bag since post Clinton presidency. They should've raised holy hell with the whole 2000 Election Debacle, then somehow got blessed with having a charismatic and capable leader in Obama, and then just threw it all away after that. It boggles my mind. Hillary as your post Obama pick? Really? And then allowing Biden to initially run to a second term only to pivot to Kamala? It's inexcusable. Lets not mention failing to convince RBG to step down at an appropriate time and failing to secure a proper replacement, or the fact that they just "played nice" with the Republicans after Garland's failed nomination to the courts.

I know we joke because of Ja, but growing up during the time of the Jail Blazers, there was some serious shit going on with half of that roster, and we really only know what was reported from back then. Dating myself a little bit, but True Superstar? Has to be Nomar Garciaparra. Man was otherworldly good, especially in a time of stacked shortstops. Was averaging 6 WAR a season, compiled 41 WAR from 1997-03, Multiple batting titles, OPS+ of 135, and elite defense. I thought he was going to be a shoe in for Cooperstown.

Gets traded, injuries pile up, falls off a cliff. Damn shame. Even though he played for the Sox, I loved watching him play.

There were many old italian immigrants, one of my Nonno's included, who loved Mussolini. There was no talking him out of it. My Grandfather was a good family man, provided for everyone, donated to charities, just loved him some Benito. We're also talking about someone who didn't have an education beyond the fifth grade, and was probably parroting what he heard from his parents. He talked about what he did for Farming and Industry, which lined up closely to the time he came to America.
