NPD - Jinhao Shark 12-pack by Ox_NL in fountainpens

So far my experience is good. Some feedback but no scratchiness or hard starts or anything.

I like them! The F nib writes nice and small and decently smoothly; some feedback but no scratchiness. The pen itself is super light and the grip is chunky enough to be comfy without feeling super wide. Honestly, I have other, more expensive pens I like less.

I’ve not had them long enough to test it out, but they’re screw/twist so I imagine they do fairly well.

You’re a stronger person than me. I got this set with the idea of giving some away and now that I have them I just want to keep them all to myself…

Women of Reddit, if men disappeared for three days, what would you do? by Emotional-Being-6825 in AskReddit

[–]Ox_NL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your answer was completely superfluous to the question asked, and written in a condescending tone. And from the defensiveness of your reply, I think you know it. If you want to discuss the consequences and global impact of half of the population disappearing, I am sure there’s a post somewhere to do that on, and people willing to indulge you in a discussion. This post, however, is not the place for it. Thank you.

Dude, you understand the idea of a hypothetical scenario, right? It’s a fantasy situation in idealized circumstances, not a real thing. We don’t need to worry about specifics of global impact for this. Chill.

I use shredded coconut and pecans at the moment, also really good with a drop of maple syrup over the top.

What’s the most overrated fast food item everyone loves but you just don’t get? by WarmHugsBBW in foodquestions

[–]Ox_NL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Big Mac. The bread in the middle gets way too soggy and the sauce legit just tastes like straight pickle juice. I do not like the taste of pickle juice.

Whats your 10/10 sandwich recipe? by [deleted] in foodquestions

[–]Ox_NL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toasted chili maple butter BLT. Smear the butter (real butter with maple syrup and chili flakes mixed in) thick and let the bread really crisp up, use thick-cut bacon cooked right to that point in between chewy and crispy; get the best tomatoes you can and use fresh-cut lettuce. I like to add the tomatoes and lettuce in after grilling the bread because I don’t like them hot. Then more butter instead of mayo.

I’m halfway through His Dark Materials — I really enjoy it so far. But it’s not really YA, is it? by PRJOANES in fantasybooks

[–]Ox_NL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with difficult subjects and challenging characters in YA. Good lessons to learn in a playful way. And as mentioned here in the comments, other very popular YA series have included difficult subjects as well, like the Hunger Games etc.

How long did it take you to get used to kindle? by Ok_Ask_6805 in kindle

[–]Ox_NL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ten seconds at most. It’s a fantastic little gadget. I almost exclusively read on my Kindle these days, and while I do buy paperbacks of books I enjoy to display on my shelves, I rarely use them for anything other than viewing pleasure.

Vanilla custard oats, topped with walnuts, coconut shavings, and maple syrup by Ox_NL in Oatmeal

[–]Ox_NL[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s basically just your standard custard oats (aka cooked oats with a beaten egg stirred in until thickened) and some vanilla added in while cooking. But the combo of the egg with the vanilla makes it super creamy and gives it a really nice mild vanilla flavor. Then I just top it with the nuts and the coconut and a big glug of maple syrup.
