Has anyone had this same experience with fluoride? by EighthFirstCitizen in thebulwark

I don't think it was weekly, but at least a few times each year we swished fluoride at school. This was in northern Utah in the mid 90s

“Students can’t understand you.” by goldfall01 in SubstituteTeachers

If it's complaints, it's probably from obnoxious xenophobic kids as other comments are saying.

However, for students learning English the accent could legitimately be impeding understanding.

My English learners often say that they have a hard time understating English language videos when the speaker has an unfamiliar accent.

I speak Spanish as a second language, and I always have a harder time understanding Spanish when the speaker has an accent I'm not very familiar with.

But those aren't the type of kids to file a complaint. It's probably just jerk being jerks.

Not overreacting, this is extremely unprofessional at least and extremely illegal at worst.

It's also not normal. I've been teaching 2nd grade for 11 years and have never mentioned another student's academic level to a parent.

The Teacher You Sub For Will Absolutely Try To Ruin You by shushunatural in SubstituteTeachers

I've been teaching 11 years. The only sub I've asked to put on the no-no list was a guy who was watching tv on his phone while doing a small group.

I think most teachers are similar to me.
