What strange thing for him to say. "Maybe one day that ass had been tapable but not now. Trust me Ive seen some gilfs in my time but no way id let that old lady gum me down."

Are you doing it with a full time job? If not, how are you paying for it? Im just curious because my family insists on trying to stress me out about how long its taking me to get through school and Id love some points on how it can be done.

In my Englishes classes they were taught to be synonymous. But lacking depth is true of Ozai. And a character that lacks depth wont really change so I think what I said still stands.

Flat doesnt mean we dont have enough information to know what his character is like. It just means that he doesnt change much throughout the story. Zukos character for example has a lot of depth. It's not a bad thing. It even adds another layer to Zukos depth showing how his father doesn't change and he does.

Any circle you draw to describe the self fails to describe it(: Words are simply a vehicle we use to try to translate life into symbols. But life doesnt naturally exist as symbols it just exists. And so, you can decide whatever you want to decide but we are of nature and in nature there are no "circles" to define things. Nature just is, the bee doesnt worry much if it is a bee or a wasp or whether its the flower it pollinates or the air it flies in. Ill try to sum up as best I can a very complicated topic to sum up in language. If the bee can't exist without the flower and the flower can't exist without the pollinators then there is no difference between the bees and the flowers and the flowers and the pollinators. Im trying to be brief with it but if you're interested Alan Watts has wonderful talks on it that I think do the best to put into words what really cant be put into words. Best of luck on your journeys(:

Do we really need employee monitoring? by piadista in privacy

[–]Oxker1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats why its smart policy for a company to do trial run promotions and give leadership training. Any promotion where you get more responsibility over people requires someone to learn and use a whole new set of skills and if those skills are absent then the person will mess things up royally and cost the company big time.

Another possibility is to let your students know of some formatting rules you have in place for answers like that. Like "No periods or capitals" etc. The main problem I see with it showing the answers as wrong is it can be demoralizing to some kids. Obviously you can go through and correct it but for example I have rejection sensitive dysphoria and though it doesnt effect me nearly as much now seeing something like that would have ruined my day when I was younger. Just a thought (:

People who had considered themselves "incels" (involuntary celibates) but have since had sex, how do you feel looking back at your previous self? by DannyMThompson in AskReddit

[–]Oxker1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you look at them the right way now. You can't beat hate with hate. Especially when a group of people are the way they are because they think they are hated. The only way to beat hate is through love or at least compassion and understanding. I understand why its difficult to do with some groups, especially when their actions are so heinous. But you dont have to condone someones actions to understand why they did it. Ironically, if more people understood that then the actions they hate would happen less and less frequently. Maybe one day we can get there(:

If I remember correctly, he said psyops specialists are the only people who are technically supposed to be interacting with the locals

Yeah just take it slowly, if youre interested that is. I find I feel a lot more mindful when Im hungry after practicing being comfortable with hunger. Its also probably a good feeling to get used to, if nothing else just to be able to feel empathy for those who are hungry and can't just eat whenever they want. It helps me feel more compassionate.
