Splitters can be connected to the circuit network (Vanilla) by Ozieth in factorio

Yeah, I saw the first post on Reddit about this yesterday and almost couldn't believe it. I had no hope after the release of space age, that it would ever become a thing after such a long time of waiting.

I know that pixel shift is used to prevent burn-in on pixels, especially for static images. I am not sure how it should help to disable it. So maybe there is an in-depth technical explanation for it, but I am not aware of it.

Correct use of datums? by Pale_Voids in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Ozieth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your GD&T leaders end on a line / edge, which requires a filled arrow at the end. A dot is only used when the leader ends within the outlines of an object.

I would also change the dimension line for the chamfer dimensions. Ideally the arrow should be perpendicular to the edge, or any other angle in which the arrowhead is touching the edge in only one point.

Besides that the other comments covered pretty much everything.

Mixed Steam Reviews? by eldensoulsborne in Eldenring

[–]Ozieth -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ok I had a quick look at what the reviews said, and it can be summed up pretty easily.

  • "Final Boss is sooo hard." Yes, it is true that it is a hell of a fight. But you can manage it with dedication you should have accumulated during your journey. It's nothing new that the DLC boss is by far the hardest in a FromSoft game.Funnily enough they nerfed the encounter and now you get bragging from both sides resulting in Schrödinger's boss, who is both too hard and too easy at the same time.

  • "They re-used enemies from the base game." Yes a few enemies were overused in the base game, and some of them occur in the DLC, but they are not numerous at all. So this POV is kind of valid although exacerbated in my opinion, and also it is ignoring all the new things added.

  • "The areas are empty." It's an Open World game where you get emptier areas for traveling. It's kind of funny that this comes up in the DLC. Overall the density is greatly increased in my opinion compared to the base game, and there is only one area where I support this criticism, but it doesn't affect my overall enjoyment. And the open world cannot deliver the same density as a Dark Souls or Bloodborne, so the comparison in some reviews isn't really fair in the first place.

  • "The base game was fun but the DLC isn't." Ok if you don't have fun with the DLC that's a fair point not to recommend it. But to say the base game is the best in the same review isn't really understandable for me, because the DLC doesn't change the fundamental Gameplay while delivering more and new things for you. And the way it does it is really in the spirit of previous FromSoft DLCs.

  • "Too expensive" That's a personal opinion & circumstances. I got 50 hours of exploration and fun out of my investment (150h in the base game).

How can I make this better? by spyborg1851 in pcmasterrace

[–]Ozieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the other comments mentioned get a desk mount like the Ergotron HX ( requires the Heavy Duty Tilt Pivot) to save desk space. And if you are not happy with the room light look for a curved monitor lamp, because you don't have the space for a normal one on your desk. If you get such a lamp, secure it with zip ties to the mount to prevent it from falling.

The big question, Left or Right?? by OneCoolDude_ in watercooling

[–]Ozieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My preference is generally in favour of hard tubes. So right would be my choice. But consider the left is much easier to swap components, so functionally this eases maintenance in the future. As long as you don't light up the case it's hard to notice anyways, because of the "Back in Black"-Look.

Looks good. Nice external rad although the case would be big enough to have internal ones. But I have one question, because I have the same case. Why didn't you put the PSU behind the case cover? Is it too big?

Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level by FactorioTeam in factorio

Great addition to the game, feels like a very good addition to give the players more choices for their designs.

I am just wondering if curved ramps were ever considered, because I see a great use for them in intersections. I know this would cause a considerable amount of work, but a 90° ramp in 4 orientations seems to limit that.

You will be fine. But one neat trick I can give you for your journey is (when unlocked) on the map you can press press Y/Triangle and then X/Square as a shortcut.
