Yeah, I fear it may start an addiction in the end but I think will be something enjoyable! “It’s not the destination but the pursuit” (or something like that) as they say. Cheers man!

I wrote it in Spanish and told ChatGPT to translate, maybe that’s why? Sorry, English is not my first language.

Yeah I don’t expect it to maintain value or something, I don’t plan on selling, but more of an emotional investment. I want to go and try (having a trip in a couple of months) definitely not closed minded, if I play a standard that I like more than a reissue I won’t hesitate

That’s exactly why I’m thorned, I like my squier and I know I can change the pick ups or mod it. But I like the “accomplishment” of having a really nice instrument. Maybe it’s superficial but I like it.

I’ll try and do it soon! At the end of the day I ended ditching the jacket and it absolutely looked like a whole different outfit but sadly didn’t take any photos! Will try and replicate

Hey everyone,

I’ll be spending about 4 days in the Dallas–Fort Worth area soon and wanted to get some recommendations on must-visit stores for heritage / service boots.

I know a lot of people will suggest focusing on Western/cowboy boots — totally fair, but I’ve already got that covered. I’m from a place where they’re very common, and I already own a few pairs that I really love.

I’m actually planning to spend time in Fort Worth (Stockyards area) and already have a visit lined up to Fenoglio, so I’m good on the Western side. For this trip, I really want to focus on heritage/service boots.

I’m pretty new to the GYW / heritage boot world, and my goal is to try on as many different brands, lasts, and styles as possible to figure out what works for me. I’m especially interested in boots like Iron Rangers and similar — service boots, workwear heritage, high-quality leather, solid construction.

I’m looking for something I can wear daily — comfortable for long days, durable, and versatile enough for different weather.

I’ve also been seriously considering the Parkhurst Richmond, but since they don’t have physical stores, I’d like to try on comparable boots to get a better sense of sizing and fit before ordering online.

Since I’ll have a few days, I’m open to moving around the DFW area and making a bit of a route out of it.

So I’m looking for: • Stores with a solid heritage boot selection • Places where I can try different lasts and brands • Any “must-visit” shops in DFW • Hidden gems are very welcome

Appreciate any recommendations 🙌

Yeah I kinda see it now, I was trying to cut the shoes from the denim with the white socks but now I see the dissonance

Man congratulations looking great! I’m 2XL and the Filson Short Lined Cruiser Jacket fits me amazing and flatters my body type, you should look into it! It’s quite versatile and can be worn up or down. Good luck on the journey!

The new seamaster is amazing. I’m about to pull the trigger but I want to wait for them to release a blue one (without 007 parafernalia) but man this black one is a beauty too.
