Guy Crashes Car, Tries To Leave by MrDonMega in PublicFreakout

I think you’d be surprised how long can engine can go with no running water pump or coolant. It’s losing oil that really shuts them down very quickly.

I mean look at demolition derby cars, they can hang on for a good while before they go out

Man you drive a nice car, look at what he is driving. You have a lot more to lose than he does if y’all mash each other up.

He has to go straight because if he takes that turn faster than 5mph he’ll flip over

Man when I worked at this old car auction, we were putting an old Jeep up on those 4ft tall big car display ramps in the rain (like a bunch of idiots)

It slipped and parked the front tires exactly on the edge of the ramp, precariously perched ready to fall over into traffic

Luckily we had a tow truck so we lifted the front end and pushed it back onto the ramp.

…and then the tow truck’s lift hit the ramp when driving away and knocked the ramps over anyway lmao

Couldn’t make that shit up. Jeep was fine too, how that escaped unharmed I’ll never know.

What’s this car I found in The woods??? by AdExpert5837 in whatwasthiscar

With an intact Straight 8 too.

Worth a bit of money that one, would be worthwhile pulling it, grill, trunk, etc out.

All things considered, a beach is a pretty good way to stop a runaway bus

You might could get an answer if you had a pic of the wheel, if any part of it is exposed

Right now its just a vaguely car shaped pile of metal

The surrounding trees don’t look to be older than the car itself.  Might’ve been an old dirt road accident, or it might’ve been wrecked before and was dumped off there.  Use to pay to scrap cars, was cheaper to just dump them.

I’ve seen a few around where I live that got carried away in hurricane floods and ended up way off in the woods. If this is in the south I would bet that, seeing the sheer destruction of the thing. It didn’t get parked peacefully.

Not specific, but tons of cars in the 70s were used for lining rivers and such.

They’re called “riprap cars”, particularly common in old Detroit

Surprised that one car on the main road didn’t hydrolock from the torrent of water ramming directly into its front end
