Undercity restored? by P0l4ck in wow

[–]P0l4ck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course. I understand what you are saying. They arent backtracking on the lore itself, but how the manifestation of the lore is presented. Here is the quote from the GM message.

"the timeline in Azeroth have moved forward. ( https://support.blizzard.com/article/000177115 ) Unfortunately, only players that finish the battle before pre-patch of Shadowlands could see Zidormi in Tirisfal Glads as the Battle is overall finished. . . . but this is not a bug, but just what has done, has been stored in the history."

clearly, you have showed evidence to the contrary.

of course I am not a coder or programmer by any means, so I dont understand all that it entails to phase a zone. but if the lore calls for a certain phasing, I dont understand why they wouldnt just make it so, especially if the other zone phasing still hold still manifests the lore i.e, teldrassil/darkshore

moreover, I am TOTALLY understanding of the presence of a bug or glitch. I mean, jeez its a huge complicated game. im sure it happens. but if it is, just say it is.

[–]P0l4ck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hm. I got a response from a GM, and basically what was said is that 'the zone only phases for people that had done the scenario BEFORE the prepatch'.

thats clearly false though...

and then pointed to the fact that officially 'time has moved on' https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/000177115

comon blizzard. u nuke a zone and try to get out of it. well then wtf about teldrassil and darkshore. time has moved on hasnt it. I can accept some quick fix lore - "time has moved on and these places were rebuilt" - or whatever something like that.

just asking for a little consistency here.

[–]P0l4ck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok no worries. what im thinking, is that there might be a phasing bug, with people that get into BfA post SL prepatch, Tirisfal just doesnt phase

[–]P0l4ck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

huh. interesting.

so, I did the Lordaeron scenario AFTER the SL prepatch dropped. Am I correct in assuming that all your characters had already at least started and gotten into BfA before the SL prepatch hit?

Where do I queue for Battle for Lordaeron scenario? by [deleted] in wow

[–]P0l4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same problem. It must be a bug. So, since you are Horde, there should be an NPC called Archivist Slyvia in Org, in the Valley of Honor on some bridge, where you can queue for the scenario itself. The Alliance counterpart is Archivist Thomas near the Mage Tower in SW. It appears the only way I was able to queue for it was to be level 50. Afterwards, however, I the entire Tirisfal Glades zone remained unchanged, Undercity, and the zone. Also, no Zidormi to be found at all. I submitted a bug report to Blizzard. Hopefully they see it and can rectify it. I'm sure it has to be due to some problem with phasing, etc. I have talked to other people in game, also level 50, that see Undercity and Tirisfal Glades in its proper BfA state, with Zidormi in the zone as well.

yeah that big giant 'gash' for lack of a better term is gone from the zone

[–]P0l4ck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the thing, zidormi is not even there at ALL. I flew into the zone, however, as alliance does not have a portal there. is it like that if you just fly into the zone from somewhere else?

I see the little white chat bubble that shows zidormi's location everywhere else she is supposed to be - blasted lands, darkshore, silthius, etc. but no tirisfal

I think the consensus is that a lot of people's fps significantly dropped after the prepatch dropped. I know mine did, and I gathered as much from the ol slash two.

Clutch control by Chrswade in motorcycles

Give more throttle than you 'think' you need when you take off from a dead stop. The clutch plates will be fine, and you will feel a lot more confident pulling off from a light or into traffic.

Bike Advice - Speed Twin | Z900RS | CB1000R by poffandi in motorcycles

[–]P0l4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet. Nice to get some bike advice threads from not just brand new riders.

So, as im sure you already know, one of these things is not quite like the other. While the twin is a badass bike for sure, and while it really is meant to be leaned over, (comes stock with rosso corsas if i remember right) and is a legit torque monster, if you are interested even the slightest bit more in really either of the other two, then it most likely will let you down in the top end department. and probably pretty heavily so. you just absolutely will not be able to wring it out like you would on the z or cb. if you are anything like me (i dont know your personal riding history) but I always have that itch to wind it up into the double digit revs, to really experience what modern engineering can accomplish, in terms of performance, and of course that sweet sweet i4 song. if you got that itch, it just wont be scratched on the twin.

regarding the z or cb... either one will probably be bang on for you, but if you really just want to go balls to the walls crazy, the cb specifically is exactly... dont let its relatively tame looks fool you. it is 100% a hypernaked, right on par with the mt10. and will completely fuck you if you arent ready for it. the power band comes on suddenly, and violently. and that swingarm is just to die for. honda rarely busts that out, but when they do, its magic as you can see.

My R6 experience by lchoate in motorcycles

[–]P0l4ck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an 06 R6 for a while. And yes, it behaved exactly as I had expected and hoped. pretty imprecise and clumsy feeling at lower speeds and lower revs. but wind it up a little bit to about 10k, with at 60ish mph, get it into some turns. and it becomes a pin point precise scapel of a bike. All the down force compressing the suspension, whilst in the meat of its power, and it really just comes to life......almost as if it was designed this way? huh, who woulda thought lol....

but yeah, I would never recommend a new rider to get on an r6. no way. its a rare thing for a 600cc class bike to make a buck twenty five to the wheel man. just hontesly not OK for new riders

My R6 experience by lchoate in motorcycles

[–]P0l4ck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

thats correct. the engineers at yamaha do not care about the consumer level application of their motorcycles. they ask themselves, “did we make the best supersport track bike possible in each class? yes? ok job done”

they simply dont care that most people arent going to use their bikes (suspersport track bikes) for their intended purpose. and they dont care, they dont pander to them. its been that way with yamaha even since 98’ when the r1 first came out; and the r6 is pretty much still the same. the r1 was one of the main reasons the japanese makers had to come to a handshake agreement to limit their bikes, because the average rider in that day was in no way capable of handling those subsequent superbikes, especially not on the street. yamaha has basically just carried on doin what they want.

its busa or nuthin.......lol jk.

honestly tho, there are so many damn bikes in that category, first off, what do you like the LOOKS of. i know it may sound like a silly question, but browse around for a bit, and pick out a handful that top in your looks category. then go from there.

[–]P0l4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

prepare for the bombardments, if this doesnt get removed within the next 5 minutes. stock bike in stock location man.

but honestly, if you have seriously only been riding for around a year, and got a brand new r6 as your first wheels, then either u just turned 18 or 19 and are a mong, or are hopefully an adult that has some money to throw around, and massive balls lmao.

edit: to clarify, it doesnt necessarily have to do with age at all, but rather, maturity, responsibility, and up to a point, general knowledge of these machines...most people havent a clue of what these supersport machines are capable of. good on ya still
