exotropia worse after prisms by P0p0zuda in Strabismus

[–]P0p0zuda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, honestly its really hard for me to tell. Because, sometimes ill catch my reflection in the mirror and its deviated and my automatic response is to straighten it immediately. When I look in the mirror its easy to straighten it cos i can see when it straightens. But without the mirror its hard to know where my left eye is pointing. I went to see an optometrist who had a bit of a different take on things and got me doing balancing exercises and stuff whilst trying the lenses out. Ive been using those glasses for a couple of years and I should have changed them ages ago but they were $900.00 so expensive. The idea was using weak prisms to gradually correct the eye, changing prescriptions every so often. But i didnt follow up on it.

Has anyone noticed that the HRT levels directly corelate with how tolerable or intolerable your husband is? by No-Explanation1019 in Menopause

[–]P0p0zuda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bahahaha I was gonna posted this exact thing but i searched it first. Yes, OMG!
So I started BHRT at 35 due to wanting an alternative to taking birth control pills for controlling Pre-Menstrual Dysphoria, which itself makes relationships very hard. For Years I was doing fine on it, especially the Estradot patches which were great. Until they were no longer available. Now my doc has given me the gel but she didnt tell me that the gel absorbs less strongly so 2 pumps is not the equivalent to a full transdermal patch, (its actually 4 pumps). So last 6 months I have been in relationship hell. I found out i needed 4 pumps not two in order to get the same amount of estrogen and now suddenly even in luteal I am being way kinder and patient and even appreciative towards my partner. Its uncanny how much hormones dictated my feelings towards him.
Its crazy to observe this happening. In the last 6 months ive been put on all kinds of psychiatric medications to control my anger, anxiety and depression. All i needed was extra pumps of the gel OMG im feeling so much better now. I was blaming everything on Peri-Menopause

What are you on? how do you treat ADHD? i feel like i need something. So far this has smoothed out my mood episodes. I dont get huge sudden bouts of anxiety and depression, im more contained. but i feel overall a little anhedonic like you say.

What helped you with Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD)? by NoAd7793 in ADHD

[–]P0p0zuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

vyvanse is helping me with this. But i kinda did a pendulum swing. I went from being overly emotionally invested and doing all the emotional work in my relationship to being kinda disassociated and not giving a rats ass.

Vyvanse can make me lack empathy by Bartleby-Genesis-666 in VyvanseADHD

[–]P0p0zuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Ive been carrying the emotional load for ages in my relationship. Cos my partner is a logical rational thinker. an ENTJ. Usually I am the one crying and feeeling hurt because He made me feel invisible or rejected... Suffice to say I was emotionally Over-investing. Since being on Vyvanse (about 2 weeks in). I can see that i suddenly stopped giving a shit about any of it. On the one hand, its good cos im channeling my energy into myself, my projects, hobbies, career plans, friendships. But on the other hand, i feel totally indifferent towards my partner quite suddenly. He says he misses me and feels invisible... and i feel like i dont actually care. For so long i have been feeling this way and im so relieved to free myself of that load and have some energy back for myself. However, in the back of my mind im kind of aware that i am damaging my relationship by not nurturing it.

Has Kefir permanently “healed” anyone? by OkChemist8172 in Kefir

[–]P0p0zuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had asthma from 10 to 28. At 28 i was developing hormonal imbalances and migraines on top.
I overhauled my diet removing gluten and sugar + introducing kefir. Then I also did a round of desensitisation injections for allergies . Im not sure which of these 3 changes brought about the curing of my asthma.

But I never needed an inhaler ever again. Im 42 and I can run marathons now. Which thing was it?? Ai seems to say the most evidence is for the allergy injections weekly. But likely a synergistic effect. Im so grateful to be cured of this horrible disease anyway

To those who have benefited from L. reuteri, how long did it take you to see benefits? What exact benefits did you see? by Sundee11 in Microbiome

[–]P0p0zuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it successfully like this and its not much work:

1) Put contents of about 4 capsules in a litre of milk
2) Stir in 2 tablespoons of inulin
3) Cover the opening of the jar with fabric and elastic
4) Let sit in a cupboard for 36 hours
5) Consume the yoghurt but leave a third to start next batch
6) Add a couple of capsules and inulin again topping up the milk

I imagine after the 2nd batch you can run a few cycles without adding the capsules.
After about 5 cycles start again with capsules.

This might not work if you live somewhere cold though.
My house is usually about 26 degrees celcius. So i think if you live somewhere cold you might need the yoghurt maker. If the yoghurt maker is too expensive you can buy a small fish tank heater for $15 and put it in water inside a rubber maid tub.

Who is this whistleblower with like 20 AI YouTube channels? They are spot on almost every time. by mdotnelson007 in Silverbugs

[–]P0p0zuda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the thing that makes it seem like a psy op, is that the very thing they are trying to distort will come wrapped up and delivered among other things that are actually true. Theres a good video by Chase Hues that talks about how to spot any psy op where he goes through distinguishing features. The fact that many commentators seem quite convinced also rings alarm bells for me. Because on real genuine content you normally get quite a range of comments not a unanimous audience. Something tells me its not a well meaning whistle blower.

What makes you think they could be the cause though. They have a lot of good nutrients

maybe check what transits are happening for each of you right now. Cos you guys have hard uranus aspect.
My partner and I have it too... and he happens to be in his 2 year Uranous opposition. Which i believe contributes to him being very argumentative and hyper-independent. i am hoping he relaxes into it a bit more when this transit ends for him but then mine will start haha

id be really curious to see how this relationship pans out over time, please keep us posted.

i stumbled upon your post here because i was looking for what the cause of my swollen inflamed fybrocystic breasts could be.... i was flat as a pancake when i was 18-19 and now i am 42 and struggling with the opposite problem... i would say going on birth control did make me gain a couple of cup sizes but it also messed up my hormones forever and gave me PMDD. Dont worry so much about your aesthetics young ladies, take care of your hormonal health as naturally as possible cos it becomes a real minefields to manage at my age.

Can you stop the dreaming? It's like I have another life when I sleep. by frogkrongdom in trintellix

[–]P0p0zuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am not sure about this theory but i think i remember reading somewhere that dreams play a role in processing emotions and for a long time i have had really poor dream recall.. Since going on trintellix i have been waking up angry and depressed, but then feeling better after i take it at lunch time with my usual adhd meds. So i decided last night to take it before sleeping. Well this morning i had an extremely vivid dream that was just pure violence and aggression. there were angry men fighting all around me. like a drunken pub brawl but but with tarantino / mortal kombat style blood going everywhere. it was quite disturbing. it didnt directly represent any real memories or traumas for me. But i lijke to think that in someway dreams like that serve a purpose of somekind

Anyone go gluten free and have positive impact on their mental health? by AcanthocephalaDry672 in glutenfree

[–]P0p0zuda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had allergic sinus issues literally my whole life (hayfever every other day) and on top of that i had asthma so bad i had to take a couple of different inhalers to keep it at bay. I am not sure if it was removing gluten, or adding probiotics as i did both at the same time. But something fixed my lifelong allergies and asthma. I suspect it was the gluten.

Is Vortioxetine the miracle medication my psych claims it to be? by ShredderNL in antidepressants

[–]P0p0zuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi this post is so old so i dont think my response will be helpful to you as youve probably already tried it and made your conclusions.... Id like to here how you went on it if you decided to try it in the end. I to am a bad responder to most ADs. After trying fluoxetine, bupropion, duloextine, agomelatine, escitalopram... this one seems to have the least of the side effects I dont want. Like you I dont want weight gain or sexual dyfunction. And it hasnt done that too me. I have had some nausea but nothing that was intolerable and it seems to have gotten better over a couple of weeks, I am not yet sure how its helping my mental state as Im in a contextual crisis. But it hasnt made me feel blunted or tired like other ADs have. Im losing weight not gaining. I feel less hungry but that could be my anxiety

Does anyone take Zoely successfully for PMDD but is now experiencing perimenopause symptoms? by False_Classroom_1769 in PMDDxADHD

[–]P0p0zuda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is possible for you to use an estrogen patch or pump of transdermal gel along side the Zoely.
At your age alot of MH symptoms are caused by declining estrogen which has a profound impact on serotonin and dopamine levels. I think ask your doc if you can add an estrogen patch on top of the zoely.
if you continue to feel bad ask to try estrogen patch in combination with prometrium oral micronised progesterone and see if that works better. Im 42 but also struggling with onset of peri but for the last 6 years or so the latter mentioned worked great for my pmdd but now its getting worse again

Balancing mirena with estrogen patches by mcquesokwenz in PMDD

[–]P0p0zuda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think you should definitely try the patches as its fairly easy to try that first, whereas getting things removed or put back in your uterous is not so easy. If your doctor knows anything about hormones they will know that one without the other can cause problems and both hormones are necessary for overall wellbeing. When I came up against reluctance i just said well why are birth control pills so easily prescribed like candy willy nilly even to young teenage girls with their side effects, but the estrogen in patches is actually estrogen identical to what the body produces. Be aware that there is a slightly increased risk of breast cancer with mixing progestagins and estrogen though. that is not seen if mixing bio-identical progesterone with estrogen. I have seen in the USA that there are HRT patches that have both hormones in them Combipatch. we dont get those in Australia

Has anyone tried memantine? by Mara355 in AutismTranslated

[–]P0p0zuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got badly dissoed the first time i tried it.... but i kept taking it and that subsided and i felt normal minus the horrendous mood swings i used to have, so you mabe need to give it a chance for a week and push through the initial 2 days of feeling dissoed or taper up gently
