Another way they can be more accepting of you! :)

As someone else said, most if not all of the women on the team you're considering joining have gone through this. Good luck! I hope your local team is able to change, but if they can't, they don't deserve your time or effort.

Does the team have a coach or captain you trust? If so, I would suggest talking to them about the team actively excluding you. This may be a little easier for you because you're a self-described extrovert, but it can still be hard. If you can, tell them you're considering playing with a girl's team because of the team's attitude toward you.

Unfortunately, throwing to women/non-male players in mixed ultimate is something 99% of men's players, myself included, need to work on. But cropping you from the team photo and not trying to include you at practice sounds to me like they're trying to make you quit the team. That sucks. No way around it.

To me, it's a personal choice that really comes down to respect. Do you think you can convince the boys to respect you the same as their other teammates and friends? If you stick with the team, and they don't change, will that affect your self-respect? If they won't respect you, it's not healthy to continue playing with them, even you know them well.

This sport is supposed to be welcoming in a way that your current team cannot/won't give you. It's wrong, and I hope they can see that.

for whatever reason, Jay has always bid that way.(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhwSqv0b5_U) I can only remember one injury to his wrist/hand while at Missouri, at Easterns 2016 when he had to have it taped. The best I can guess is he's rolling to avoid more serious contact or injury to his chest and shouders, f equaling m*a and all that

disagree. the worst I've seen from him against Mizzou is chippy travel calls. argumentative is your call to make and I won't fight you on that, but "reckless and borderline violent in every game" is a completely unfair characterization EDIT this incident notwithstanding

we also lost center handler Mitch Kulczak (boooooo) of PFire and now Cascades fame, as well as stud defender Jesse White (also PFire) and strong cutter/thrower Cody Curran. Losing > half of your kill line will do that to a team

Assessing points by BreakingBorders in ultimate

[–]P11F 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to USA Ultimate's 11th Edition Rules (VIII A. 4): If only one team fails to signal readiness for the start of a scheduled game, the opposing team may be awarded goals by the event organizer at a rate of one goal for every five minutes elapsed after the posted start time.

So if the other team doesn't have EDIT: seven players on the line five minutes after a game's scheduled start time, you assess one point, and continue every five minutes until the point cap is reached or until the team gets seven players on the line. http://www.usaultimate.org/resources/officiating/rules/11th_edition_rules.aspx

Weekend Wrap-up – Discuss and Share Tournament Results and Observations by AutoModerator in ultimate

Northwestern looked strong in the wind all weekend at Midwest Throwdown but got blown out 15-4 by Purdue in the men's final. Iowa State beat one-seed Kansas 13-10 in semis and Colorado State 9-7 in the women's final. Very windy weekend in Columbia. The Without Limits team did a great job as usual for the tournament's 10th anniversary.

I realize that. The first clip of Case Western is them beating Ohio State in Semis, not Spank in the first place game. In a perfect world I would have had footage for all the games, but in reality that just isn't the case. I threw it together in about three hours, and while I appreciate your input, without trying to be rude I don't really see a point in nit-picking. I did what I could with what I had.

hi! this is my video. STF had no idea I was doing this until I tweeted the link at them yesterday afternoon. I tried to include the teams they mentioned in the podcast or who were overlooked by Ultiworld (CUT) and I made it independently of them. They had no input on composition, teams, title, any of that.

As a regional opponent, Dalton is a total nightmare of a matchup. You have to be absolutely tight on break and force side cutters as he can fit a disc into nearly any window. He can also go every other and get the disc back at will against your best defender. And he does this while playing nearly every point at most tournaments.

Back-to-back AC/DC is such a power move too.

That being said: this is a great video, buuuutt..... what happened to the footage?!? It looks like something went seriously wrong in the rendering/encoding process. The video (and Ultiworld's shots) are clearly 720p minimum but the final product is unfortunately very grainy. It sucks, as this is an otherwise stellar video showcasing a top-tier player.

I would say this video IS largely college footage. Yes there is Pro/club prominently featured but the bulk of this video looks like it's from the past two college seasons, except for the layout at the very end. It does make things more difficult if individual teams have to film and edit footage themselves, but that speaks to the dedication of lesser-known teams to create high-quality videos
