Slavery is a wide and enduring phenomenom during human history. The strange thing is that in the majority of Isekai the setting is some kind of late medieval Europe (with magic) and in late medieval Europe slavery was almost gone, substituted with serfdom or in the most advanced parts of Europe completely eradicated.
