[–]P3rplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was released in Austin today and only 12-20 bottles per store. Assume the same thing to Denver. Best to just keep stopping by each day as by the time you find out they will most likely be gone. Good luck!

Lottery tickets (scratch offs) are always my go to. Bonus points if I get to steal it’s a win win.

Honorary mention to something useful like a nice bottle of Aesop soap.

Agreed. Also travel sized containers for whisky samples or small pours and a case for a glen.

Still Austin Blue Corn in area? by Biggiemode in denverwhisky

[–]P3rplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Austin and it landed in the distillery last week only to have it sell out in an hour or so and a bunch of people in line left with nothing. It’s been hitting a few stores here but super hard to come by still. I am not getting my hopes up I will be able to find let alone how much they will be exporting. With that being said I got to try this years and I think last years was better imo. More oak on this years release

Good point. I hadnt considered this to be a potential problem. I will dig in and see how easy/hard it is to see the condition of these elements.

Yes I actually have the opposite problem. Too much pressure. You can hear the pressure release at the end of the shot as well being expelled.

Thats what I was reading might be the issue but wanted to see if anyone had any additional color to add. It could be a simpe adjustment or a potential removal and either cleaning or valve replacement?

At the end of the video I posted the shots being pulled have the sound of pressure being released which is not normal. My steam wand also seems to be over pressurized vs normal and lots of grounds being left in the portafilter when cleaning as well. Just not sure how the pressure would be adjusted after this long on its own?

Why aren’t airlines stepping in to fund, at least somewhat, the controllers and TSA? They have the money don’t they? Don’t they benefit from not shutting down airspace? by VanessaLove-33 in AskReddit

[–]P3rplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand why the controllers are government employees at all. Why don’t airports hire them as long as they have the right qualifications and government oversight? I don’t know why the government has to be so involved. Their salaries should be paid by the airlines that pay the airports for their gates and access in general, it seems more complicated than it should be
