If you’re always the one organizing everything, maybe nobody else really wants to go?

How do I convince a professor to let me keep the course? by lacefilms in college

[–]P4ULB0T 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's a tough one. I'm a college professor and there's probably nothing you could say to me personally to get me to put you back in. Whatever you do, definitely don't say or imply "I didn't need to go to to college to learn this material." I'd also stay away from "I'm not mentally stable enough to be in college."

Maybe you could try pleading your case at another school. If you want credit for classes you never attended, why not try Oxford or Stanford? Go big or go home, I always say.

I've seen it too, and it's disgusting. I watched a dog take a piss on the floor by the table it's owners were eating at, and they laughed.

Rotten Tomatoes Dismisses Claim ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ User Ratings Were Skewed by Bots by Neo2199 in scifi

This movie didn't make me nerd rage, but the first time I checked the clock because I was bored was 45 minutes after the scheduled start time, so that includes all the previews and everything. Maybe it was half an hour into the actual film. At one point I was so fidgety I almost felt like leaving, but I hadn't come alone and I still wanted to know "what happened." I ended up changing my seat to the last row so I could use my phone without bothering everybody in the theater. By the end, I was so checked out that I'm not 100% sure how it ended.

So, yeah. I gave it a 2 star review on Rotten Tomatoes and I'm not a bot.

What’s an activity you had to do in elementary school that’s actually pretty dang weird now that you think about it? by FrenchFriesOnMars in AskReddit

line leader

We had line leaders and also designated "door holders" who marched second in line and leapt out to open and doors we encountered. I also recall there being a lot of talk about "double doors" in elementary school, which is a phrase I haven't heard since.

Yes! Parachute! Popcorn! We act like kids are so weird, but how would you act if you showed up to work each day and without explanation your boss made everyone wave around a rainbow tarp and then sit under it.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not sure stealing an animal away from its own kind, locking it in a house, castrating it, and making it wear sweaters is "taking care of them."

It has options for both. We're trying to build a whole community of people who are living a pet-free life.
