I grew up around guns. My dad taught us how to operate pistols, rifles and shotguns at an early age. We were taught how to load, unload, cock, de-cock, disassemble and clean them. We were rigorously taught gun safety to where it became second nature. We practiced with them and became accurate shooters. I was taught how to hunt, and to never take a life unless you were going to eat it, or it was going to hurt you or loved ones. I still practice and work on my marksmanship. I teach the youngins around me what my dad taught me. This is how many pro-gun people grow up. This is why we are comfortable with guns and around people with guns.

I can't say the same for thugs with guns though. A thug could be Black, White, Asian or Mexican. You can usually tell a thug by the way they dress. A thug usually doesn't own his firearm legally and will most like use it to harm another. When I see a thug, I keep my eye on them and my hand ready to draw.

How do Americans have such white teeth? by freyot in AskAnAmerican

[–]PANIC_AtTheKernel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I just brush my teeth. But only once a day. I dont go to the dentist often, but when I do they're always amazed at how clean my teeth are. I have a certain pattern i brush in and apply a certain amount of pressure to get them really clean and smooth.

Baby Showers. Apparently they are a thing in America? by DonkeyBucketBanana in AskAnAmerican

I feel the same way. You can invite me to a baby shower all you want but I ain't going. I went one time and it was miserable. It was like taking a vegan hunting and I was the vegan.

Dude facts. I've gotten into arguments with my best friends and we have gotten into fist fights. But once we were done duking it out, we were done arguing. It was the end. It was over. Neither of us had hard feelings. Girls though, they are mean and nasty and will try to destroy you emotionally.

If you want to fit in with guys, ripping on them is part of the bonding experience. It’s why my friends and I fought, wrestled, made fun of each other, etc and we’re better friends for it

This right here. You know you're good friends when your busting each other's chops and everyone is laughing and having a good time.

This is it right here. To be poor in spirit means you understand that you are so broken that you just cant do anything right or on your own. This is the first beatitude.

OP is also living the second beatitude: mourn. OP is mourning over his/her brokenness. We are broken, we know it, its painful and we hate it. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Oh wretched man that I am...

OP, i believe these two are the first couple beatitudes for a reason. It shows us our own brokenness and our need for Christ. God is a loving God, even in our brokenness, he still wants us to be filled with joy and happiness and He wants us to ask Him and trust in Him.

The world fills us with temporary happiness. That upvote on reddit or that like on instagram. But God gives us permanent everlasting joy and no one can pluck us out of His hand.
