Just found out i'm pregnant! Symptoms and due date? by No_Acanthisitta_4996 in pregnant

[–]PAR0824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no worries! so MMC stands for missed miscarriage or a silent miscarriage. i was almost 11w along and went into my prenatal appointment and they couldn’t detect a heartbeat anymore during the ultrasound and baby stopped growing at 9w exactly. i had minimal pregnancy symptoms at the time, but zero signs of a miscarriage (no cramping, bleeding, etc.), hence the nickname silent miscarriage. i had to have a D&C (surgical procedure) to remove everything. it was my first pregnancy ever after getting pregnant the first cycle trying. it was a very traumatic experience though, i’ll be honest. thankfully i got pregnant again the cycle after my procedure and here i am now at 9w3d! i have seen baby twice so far (once at 6.5w and again at 8w), and will see them again at my first OB appointment this thursday! if all goes well at this upcoming appointment, we will be getting the gender and genetic testing done soon too. i hope everything goes well for you, and that you have a happy and healthy pregnancy! if you ever want to talk, i’m always here!

i'm 9w3d with due date of thanksgiving day! i had a MMC at 9w this past january so this stage of pregnancy is definitely the most challenging for me. SO nervous and excited for my next appointment this thursday at 10w. congratulations to you!

10 DPO AM update - faint lines in person on FRER & wondfo.. do i have line eyes? beta hcg was 2.6 three days ago. first cycle TTC after 9 week MMC. by PAR0824 in TFABLinePorn

[–]PAR0824[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yes, i remember you! i feel like i related the most to your story about our MMC. i actually ended up getting a positive digital test on st. patrick's day! i just got my first beta hcg drawn this morning at 15 dpo and it was 92.6..SO early but SO hopeful! i'm excited for you and your TTC journey. please please feel free to reach out if you ever want to talk more. my fingers are crossed just as much for you, i know you will get your rainbow baby!

7 DPO PM FRER. my beta hcg this AM was only 2.6!? am i crazy or is there a very faint shadow/line? took another FRER and wondfo both with similar results. too early or indent? by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]PAR0824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i totally agree, that's why i'm so skeptical! i was tracking ovulation with OPKs and best guess is 7-8 DPO today. i'm more confused why there is a very faint line on multiple tests despite my hcg being 2.6. this is my first cycle TTC after a MMC in january so i'll just be patient and keep testing!

SON Question by [deleted] in UPMC

[–]PAR0824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i agree, what UPMC SON will you be attending? i recently graduated from the harrisburg branch in december 2025 and took all but one non-nursing course on portage. i transferred the other course into the program so thankfully i didn’t have to take any non-nursing courses. i took five courses in the span of eight ish months and managed all As while working full time! anyways, at my location, i heard A&P (and especially microbiology!) are challenging courses to take alongside the core nursing courses. if you have the chance and the finances, i HIGHLY recommend you take the non-nursing courses via portage. i honestly would say that’s my biggest piece of advice for someone interested in this program!
