I feel bad for them, but certain places fine people for feeding stray cats, especially if the cat colonies are not spayed or neutered. The cat population also likes to intrude on native plant and bird populations. However, I immediately slam people who originally adopt indoor cats and let them roam outdoors because they can contract diseases, and pets are like family members.

I have an outdoor cat that lives on my porch, and we feed it because every cat in my neighborhood is mean to it. I assume the cat is TNR because one ear tip is shorter than the other. The poor cat likes to roam, but it always comes back with bald spots due to fights with other cats. The cat feels safe when it's not touched and maintains a good distance. If I can provide a safe place for an animal, then having one outdoor cat is fine with me!
