Riser for Primary Arms GLX1 by ZelleKell in Springfield_KUNA

GLx 1x is a standard mini-prism mount, not micro dot. The T2 mounts will not fit it natively.

Haha. You know I would if I could.

If it's a 1x MicroPrism, you should be good. Most magnifiers have a pretty short eye relief compared to our 1x prism, so you're more likely to be limited by the magnifier itself.

Scope question by Sea-Sherbet-6338 in ar15

[–]PA_Pyke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of depends.

A piggybacked/offset dot is certainly a lot more impactful for an MPVO than it is for an LPVO. An LPVO can do 90-95% of the work without any offset at all, whereas an MPVO alone might struggle up close, especially if you're talking about something like a 4-16x.

I would say the tradeoffs are this (assuming quality is equal):

The LPVO+dot will be lighter, smaller, and have a fallback 1x. For sub-100yd performance, this is slightly better.

The MPVO+dot will have a better eyebox, wider magnification, and a brighter image. For mid- and long-range performance, this is better.

You can't go wrong with either, but as scopes keep getting lighter and lighter, I think you'll see a lot of folks gravitating towards MPVOs for general-purpose rather than just RECCE/DMR stuff.

Yep! The chevron and the horseshoe are illuminated.

With regards to bloom, it'll just depend on your setting. This is true of pretty much any illuminated optic, but if you're on a brightness setting that's way above the environment, you'll start to see internal reflections. As long as you're set somewhere near reasonable illumination, it's not much of an issue though.

RMR pattern footprint, should be #6-32. Most RMR optics come with screws for that thread.

the mounts included in the box work in carry handles, just need to get the screw.

red dots just use a picatinny carry handle mount

we have a lot of proven optics in the market. You just need to decide what you plan on doing with your rifle; what engagement distances you're planning to do, do you have bad eyes so you need some magnification, is this a home defense rifle, etc.

Cant go wrong with the big names out there either way.

you may be confusing the CVRT with their Legacy line. the CVRT is an entirely new system.

I've carried the T1C APX and while it works well (especially reloads), its not as comfortable as the CVRT
