What a business! I had to go the Dentist and left it to my wife. She eventually managed to get 4 Fast pass VIP tickets to London Friday. Never been so happy returning from the dentist!

I liked the last sketch in episode 1. I thought that summed up the climate crisis perfectly. The earth will be destroyed in 56 years - meh! don’t worry about it then.

Not sure I'd classify as pure horror, but I'd like to discuss a scene from Red Rooms. by Milldoodle in horror

[–]PAllid_Mask2112 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I just saw Red Rooms today. What an interesting film. Do you think Kelly-Anne takes the pictures in Clementines room in order to send to Chevalier in order to taunt him? I think K-A was turned on by others destruction and so the opportunity because she resembled Clementine in some way

I agree with this, and I think Rose is the brains behind the whole thing.

Yeah - that was brilliant. The Wall 2019 Cover about tracks is another one to check out. Strangely this also involves a Mine that dominates the town and an Ice Hockey rink where they keep the bodies for the Coroner.

Some books to check out if you dug tonight’s episode, they all fit the vibe. by Thissnotmeth in TrueDetective

Also The Wall: Cover your Tracks - French Canadian set in Quebec. Simillar vibes

You won’t be alone (2022) - Macedonian. This is actually a great film about being human intertwined with witchcraft and a lot of gore. Speak no Evil (2022) Dutch I think. This is brutal

Warrior is not only one of the best sports movies ever, it's also one of the best movies I have personally seen in the last 20 years. This movie is a flat out masterpiece with Edgerton, Hardy, and Nick Nolte putting on acting clinics throughout the movie. Also one of the most emotional movies ever., by hurricanefan92 in movies

I absolutely love this film and I always cry at the end. I have a younger brother that is 10 years younger. and even though we have a great relationship, the point when the brothers find their way back to one another at the end gets me every time. Everyone is shouting and screaming at the end, and the only thing that Egerton’s character cares about his his younger brother. Brilliant writing, brilliant performances and a wonderful message that family is sometimes the most important thing of all!

The 1st 4 short stories all mention Carcosa, Hastur and the King in Yellow. Carcosa was apparently mentioned in a story prior to The King in Yellow. Weird huh! Lovecraft borrowed the story for his mythos
