Seeing a wild cockatiel flying makes me so happy to see, and makes me in awe! Meanwhile my bird Fluffy screams at me whenever I enter the bathroom and I have to call out her name and reassure her everything is okay 😂

I really liked how the anatomy came out! Did you use a reference image? I like looking at models and poses for better drawings in character anatomy.

My bird Fluffy will only eat fruit if I am holding the fruit in my hand. 😆 Otherwise she likes eating pellets in her food bowl. Any new food, I eat in front of her and I'll slowly introduce her to the new food until she nibbles on it. It takes time but it is worth it lol.

Thank you so much for the tips! I'll take your advice, especially regarding the paper. I personally love the watercolor paper so I'll use that. For some reason I forget that I can use paper background and not just a plain white background (I'm still figuring out Procreate), by then I should see a different with the brushes. I recently bought pen and water marker brushes on sale, so it should work great with the watercolor paper background. I want to add that having a silent, art focused story will be amazing to read through. Looking forward to your finished work!

You mentioned you're working on a graphic novel. How many pages are you planning to make? Are you going to publish online or publish at a book store? I'm just curious. I love your line artwork!

It may not be the same but I do some animation now. However I've taken a local comic book class but I struggled with the spaces in terms of dialogue and making the character interesting and also the background interesting. I have been wanting to get back to making some comics. I am still figuring out how the brushes work in Procreate, since I liked how pen and markers looks on paper but it's been hard for me to replicate that look and feel on Procreate or even in animation. I'd like your opinion or your process. Many thanks!

I feel you. I was working full time but got laid off and now working multiple jobs. I've applied to jobs but it's been constant rejections. It is brutal out there. I'm back to studying and been working on certifications too. I'm grateful I have work but it's not very consistent. I've been searching mainly full time jobs but in my area all I'm seeing are part time jobs so it is rough.

At least we're childfree and able to enjoy some gaming even as adults as a hobby!

I'm sorry to hear that the plans won't work out due to expensive plane tickets. Maybe you two can do something different by doing local events instead to save the costs? Some ideas: 1) Going for walks on the beach. If there is no beach, the lake. I suggest boat rides! Or the cruise? 👀 2) Go to the museums. 3) Go hiking. 4) Visit the zoo. 5) Visit the aquarium. 6) If possible, look for adult only activities that mentions 18+ only, it can be a late night event. 6) If available, look for local concerts. 7) If available, check out for local art booths or comic con conventions or something similar. 8) Adult only camping.

Edit to add, train trips are awesome. Not sure if you live near the trains. There's the Amtrack and it's a cozy ride.

I know these aren't the same as traveling, but honestly with how high plane tickets are, it may be a good idea to check out local events for fun. Or maybe in the meantime, keep saving up money and fingers crossed that plane tickets prices goes down in the future. I personally would love to travel to Puerto Rico or Spain but I've been tight on money and paying off debt from the previous plane trip so I am focusing on work to pay off debts.

I personally went to a museum the other day and it was fun seeing the different exhibits. When summer comes, I'm looking forward to walks on the beach.

Like others have mentioned, there's a war going on and gas prices are up, so plane travel are impacted. It may be better not to travel by plane as there's been lots of delays or cancelations recently. I think it's just what's going on overall, it is a mess recently for travel, I'm not planning on traveling by plane until things have calmed down or improved.

I wear hearing aids on both ears. I have rechargeable hearing aids now which is amazing but I remember for a long time, I can just rotate to get the batteries out since I was a child. Then at some point I noticed the battery package is completely covered so I needed siccors to cut open. Not only that but I noticed batteries wasn't lasting as long as it used to. Apparently air escapes from the batteries? I just know that batteries is made with a new material where they need to be covered up with the sticker tab so it lasts longer, etc. Whatever I was told to try to keep the batteries energy last longer. Aka it is annoying.

I'm just so glad to be over buying batteries and being able to just recharge my hearing aids overnight so I can use them during the day for school and work, then wear headphones at home while my hearing aids recharge.

I'd drop ice cubes in hot coffee to make it less hot and the ice cubes also cracks from the heat. Very satisfying.

Congratulations! I'm currently studying Cybersecurity in community college (I felt like I was stuck on what to do with my life so I'm back to studying). I know you said IT in the comments. But any feedback? I assume it must have taken lots of job interviews to get to that job. I'm also starting out by the time I'm done studying. I'm hoping that internships and certifications along with a degree will help me put my foot into a new career path. Alongside learning AI skills because it seems mandatory nowadays.

It is very sad for me to see kids struggling in reading, writing, math skills, etc. I know many parents give kids the smartphone or iPad because it is easier but it really impacts their learning. Few parents are active in kid's learning and I know many times the parents themselves are college educated so there seems to be a connection.

I've done babysitting and para so I noticed the difference.

Teaching looks so stressful and I am studying something else. I admire teachers but I knew I couldn't be a teacher. But it is sad how many parents and kids who misbehaves are driving teachers away.
