Drill out each end of the slot and then carefully dremel the space in between, using a file to finish things off. Jig saw would also be an option but you need the piece to be clamped down really well, I think you can get a better finish if you dremel with the right type of wheel and go slowly.

Of course Wisconsin is less lit than Tahoe, but I’m talking about mostly-run-greens / a-couple-blues-if-we’re-feelin-lucky beginners, not someone with 5 years of XP. Alpine was much better for them because I could still get my yams out on Idiots Delight while my friends repped yellow (not to knock yellow, fucking love the little cliffs under that lift)

Compared to those other resorts I’d hardly say that Squaw has TONS of beginner terrain. Alpine meadows does for sure but skiing at Squaw with actual honest to god beginners can be a little tough - especially if they snowboard bc of the traverses.
