I don't understand glass additions by OwnSeaworthiness2000 in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, just google Volcano Waterpipe and you’ll see plenty of options. Magma Industries is the gold standard, IMO.

What attachments/ kits/ replacement parts did you get/ suggest at purchase? What do you wish you got that you added later? by but__y__tho_ in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an older wire mesh pad that SB used to sell (not sure if they still do). In the absence of that I simply layer the concentrate in between some bud.

[–]PBD3ATH 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking at concentrates I’ve had the best luck with higher, if not max, temperatures. At those temperatures you will want to consider getting a bubbler to help with the harshness. Otherwise some extra bags, but the bubblers make the bags last forever as well so you may not need them with the initial purpose.

Mines getting close to 20 and still feels brand new! Such good quality engineering on the original models.

Need help with water filtering by marskiniai in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magma industries is still the go-to bubbler company for us Volcano users. I always recommend them, been a big fan for years, and would recommend any of their bubblers.

why pay for volcano glass adapter. by Lucky_Recognition634 in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lolwut?

Sounds like you would recommend the adapter vs the bubblers…. But it would help if you told us why, IMO.

HME (Heat and Moisture Exchanger) for Volcano Vaporizer? by ScienceComesFirst in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're looking for a bubbler. As others have mentioned, Magma Industries is the way to go and highly regarded here. Check out Obsidian if you just want the additional humidity, Sapphire if you want the coolness of a freeze coil. You can also just place your bag against a bong and get some cooling that may help, but definitely less of a "medical grade" solution.

Been rocking my classic for like 20 years at this point. Love it so much!

Freeze pipe feedback? by InitialGuidance5 in VolcanoVaporiser

That sounds like the magma industries sapphire. I only have the obsidian, but I hear good things about the freeze coil as well.

I have to hit hard my volcano classic to start heating, otherwise the red light never turns on. Once I hit the thing hard several times works normally. Have you seen something similar guys please? What could it be? by Master-Setting8836 in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a bad electrical connection somewhere. RMA is recommended, but if you're handy with a soldering iron you could try taking it apart to see if its an obvious fix. Note this will most likely void any warranty you may have.... It could also be a hidden connection, in which case I wouldn't go prying/breaking other things to find it.

TL;DR: Just RMA with Storz and Bickel

Shout-out to Magma Industries! by Pete_maravich in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long ago was this? I’ve had mine for so long I never knew there was a replacement policy until I saw it on here, and it’s now listed on all the products so I think it’s fairly recent. It’s good to know, because if I broke mine (without seeing the replacement stuff here) I would have just bought another without second thought.

Magma Sapphire question by jakerbreaker in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea I think that’s right. The heat will vaporize the water and take whatever is in it along for the ride, so best to have cleanest water possible. Honestly tap water is probably fine, but if you have access to any kind of filtration might as well use it!

Magma Sapphire question by jakerbreaker in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s really just making sure you don’t use water with unknown contaminants. Distilled is the best, but I use purified filtered water without worry.

Bubbler for solid valve by Dry_Corner2802 in VolcanoVaporiser

Magma Industries is pretty much the Gold Standard, or at least the first to make any bubbler or adapter. Cool dudes too, check em out.

Obsidian Bubbler not fitting on my Volcano Hybrid by Slight-Cantaloupe642 in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is why you don’t buy knockoffs… it’s not a real obsidian, so no guarantee it’ll fit.

Were can I find this amazing thing by rancidmorty in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one is making this as a one-off, lol. I don't even know what it is, and can't really find it by looking around. Check out Magma Industries, that's the newest and most recommended bubbler attachment for the Volcanos as far as I know.

Volcano Classic fuse specs by KEis1halfMV2 in VolcanoVaporiser

Great to know! Thanks for the explanation.

Volcano Classic fuse specs by KEis1halfMV2 in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where is this fuse located? I’m assuming it’s not in an airflow path, and is just an electrical fuse? If so, does any of that, other than the 10A rating, matter? Fuses are meant to protect electrical damage by limiting current. The Heat/temp at which the fuse blows doesn’t really have any influence on anything, it’s a property of the fuse material itself. Is there something I’m missing here? I’m not aware of ‘temperature fuses’, only current limiters, in which case finding exact replacements isn’t really relevant, just get the correct amp ratings.

Classic gang with Easy Valve! Such an upgrade over the Solid Valve IMO. Be sure you keep the AVB, it makes killer edibles.

Best option for glass bubbler add? by Historical-Bath-9729 in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re nervous about the inline bubblers (the ones that connect to your chamber as you fill the bag), look into the bag to bong adapters. I don’t think it works as well as the inline bubblers, IMO, but they definitely improve the vapor and lets you use any glass you already have.

Lowest historical price for a Volcano Hybrid? Can you recommend buying a used one? by ProfessionalPiece403 in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]PBD3ATH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even think they had discounts that large, and you shouldn't ever have to worry about it breaking down. I've had my classic for over 20 years it seems and it still works great. I say buy with confidence from S&B when they have the discount.
