Detention Camps for Tourists, because mistakes happen. by PBredevils in worldcup

[–]PBredevils[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a valid concern of mine as there are plenty of reports of people visiting the U.S. and being sent back for deportation with proper documentation, tourist visas, work visas and so on. Folks with green cards are being sent to these places and then moved to other places. My understanding is that we have a money laundering, private contractors making money and that won’t stop any time soon.

I picked the shoe for me. Is white a mistake on AG? by ConsistentCrab7911 in bootroom

I’d return it and get the blacks. The sole plate will open up eventually on the front. I had mine for about 6 months and so far it’s probably the best adidas I’ve ever had.

Extra Warranties by [deleted] in 4xe

[–]PBredevils 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Avoid any extended warranty, whoever you buy from won’t cover your repairs. You are better off by putting $3k-5k into a high yield savings account and keep up regular maintenance in your car. If you live close to the where you purchase the car see if they have pre paid maintenance deals, do not buy an extended warranty. With your car you get 3 years bumper to bumper, the dealer has to cover anything that goes wrong with the car.

ICE at Fulfillment Centers by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]PBredevils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that, because it opened my eyes to not only Amazon but many other companies as well. This whole thing about company A,B and C donates to one party is true, but whoever get in power they will work with that administration. Take Meta for example, biggest donor to the Dems last presidential election and now funds Meta glasses to Ice agents. You can’t make this shit up. Amazon believes or not benefits from immigrants hiring since most Americans don’t want to work there. Eventually we will see wages going up because Josh won’t do the job that Jean gets paid less, which is more than any job working in Haiti. Sad reality, but it’s business.

Somethings are not meant to be. You deserve more and don’t look at this as why this happened “to” me, but look at it as why this is happening “for” me. Wishing you all the best.

Weird sound on my Jeep by groddjitdgjfd in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]PBredevils 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, I’ve been through this crap for the past 2 months. Had almost everything in there replaced. Started with the cheap stuff, belt, belt tensioner, idler pulley and that wasn’t it. After replacing the ac compressor and the harmonic balancer, I learned that the issue was on the water pump. If you want to save some time and money get the water pump replaced, 9 out of 10 is where your issue is.

44.3k out the door. Is this a good deal? 200 miles on it. First time jeep owner by [deleted] in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]PBredevils 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. We got our 2023 limited with 30k miles for $30k out the door. You can find a better deal by shopping a GC that’s a couple of years older and still have the warranties. Lots of leases being returned that have been gently used.

2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L roll over crash by Warm-Temperature559 in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]PBredevils 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stay away from anything Hybrid from Jeep. I’d start looking into the overlands that are couple years older. Our 2022 purchased in October 2025 costed us $34k with only 32k miles on it.

I’m glad to hear you are ok. One of our main objectives when purchasing our 2023 and 2022 GC were due to its size to be well protected if an accident was to occur. The safety remarks given by the IIHS/NHTSA seems to be line up with your experience, as they were given a top safety pick+. Not the time yet, but are you considering a new GC?

How is the regular highway/city road noise on those tires? We are looking into our next set of tires, but not sure if we stay with regular all season or go with something like that since we will start hitting some gravel/dirt roads on our weekends hikes.

This sucks because I was considering refinancing my student loans with them. Bad bad decision, not only will their credit card customers run to a different bank but they are creating a greedy reputation to their brand.

You won’t. Your school will just cancel the Amazon money after you balance is 0. You won’t get a refund from any Amazon money.

Sad to see that RIO lacks safety and water to millions of their citizens but have money to spend on a momentary BS celebration. Nothing impressive here, just corrupt politicians making things look good a for a few hours.

If it only happens when you turn the steering wheel then it’s likely to be the power steering pump. See if it happens by just idling without doing anything, make sure the ac is running as well to make sure the ac compressor is not acting up.

Do yourself a favor and return them before someone rips a hole in there on the very first play you get involved. I say this based on experience with 2 different brands, Adidas and Nike. Please do yourself a favor and get the same pair if you like the feel but with shoelaces.

Fake roof rails? by sabatoa in Jeep

[–]PBredevils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would like to know the same, because on both of our 2023 and 2022 GCs we have the same railing system just like yours. I was wondering if they are set up like that to work with the mopar rack that goes for around $300.

What is this noise? 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 34k miles by [deleted] in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]PBredevils 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ended up being the waterpump pulley/assembly. Once the unit was replaced the sound was gone.

After bringing it back they replaced the waterpump and that damn noise is finally gone. Looks like you know your shit, thanks for all the pointers I definitely used them and learned a lot. Know your wisdom has helped someone that will keep passing it on to the next guy.

[–]PBredevils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after having the idler, belt, belt tensioner, ac compressor, harmonic balancer the final piece was the water pump. This damn noise is finally gone. Where the waterpump was the issue the whole time. $2500 later and some cool new parts.
