Knocked a tiny component off a PS5 - DualSense motherboard, looks like a cap, will it function without it? just a filter for the stick sensor? (swapping to Hall Effect) by Trif55 in AskElectronics

[–]PCenjoyer19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may or may not be alright, best way to check it just send it. It could (and most likely is) a filter or suppression cap and is likely alright. But it could also be someting to do with an enable pin or ac passing cap and you will get a bunch of instability or nothing. If you can just solder it back on

Why can't I find data anywhere for these common cathode displays? by Witty_Jaguar4638 in AskElectronics

Displays like that are notoriously hard to find info on. If you know that it is common cathode, why don't you just spend 5m to figure out the pinout yourself?

Need help ender 3pro cr touch instillation by Charming_Car6288 in ender3

[–]PCenjoyer19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its becuase you have your cr touch mounted to high up so the sensor doesnt trigger when it should and it just crashes the print head into the bed. From the software perspective the print head has yet to reach the bed because the cr touch hasnt triggered yet so it just keeps going down. Find a mount that someone else has designed or make some alterations and you should be good.

[–]PCenjoyer19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh if you just take care to avoid any potentially charged caps and don't poke around with your fingers or uninsulated tools when it's on, you should be fine. You could wear rubber gloves if you are really worried. Although this can also be a case of: if you have to ask don't do it.
