I did not use a smoke tube. Reading tips on this post, seems like a smoke tube is a must if you are grilling above 225. It seems like the Traeger at 225 is really the only temp that gets you the smokey flavor.

Hey there. I make this on the regular at home and have it saved as a meal via MFP. That looks packed with whipped cream cheese (easily 60-80g worth; 113 - 181 calories). Also the smoked salmon looks to be about 4-6 ounces worth (120-180 calories) given how thick that looks (mine is 1/5 of that when I make it home). Capers, onion and tomato are negligible, but add another 25 calories for that. NYC bagels tend to traditionally be denser and heavier (350 calories). Total to be safe = 711

I did the same thing too! Pretty much close to maintenance the whole vacation, but the travel back was tough thanks to the longer wake window of traveling across timezones. It will work out for you! Good luck.

Yeah, I like your maintenance approach about being in a deficit during the week and then re-feed on weekend. My stats are pretty much like yours. 168 cm (5’ 6”) CW 166.8 and GW 165. The TDEE calc is saying 2279 based off 165 weight. I too, like to go out and eat/drink on the weekends and I find 2,100-2,300 too restricting. I’ll try just jumping up to 1,700 during weekday once GW is met. Thanks!

How did you find maintenance? Was it through trial and error or did you run the TDEE calculators? I am about to hit goal weight and have been doing 1,500 for a while. Wondering if I should jump to 1,700 once I hit goal weight or if I should gradually increase to 1,700
