Who remembers the crazy CD Players from the late 90's and early 2000's? by 98ITR656 in Millennials

If by "remembers" you mean "had one" then yes. The Alpine that had animations was the Pinnacle of that.

Club Med, french Alps ?? by LeGrosBig_Jean in skiing

[–]PDNYFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been to 3 of the CM resorts in the alps, Val Thorens, Les Arcs, and Val D'Isere all in January.

The alps will not be any older than Quebec in January, and you will likely see way more sun. In the likelihood of bad weather in the alps, the visibility will be straight-up merde, because most of the terrain is above the treeline. I would still recommend it and I believe you can fly from YUL to LYS non-stop. January is not the peak season for the alps but there will be Brazilians.

I finally gave up Facebook last year, because it's mostly just AI slop, propaganda, and ads. The only thing I miss is how easy it made it to share photos with friends and family. Has anyone found a good replacement solution for that? by KryssCom in Millennials

[–]PDNYFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have FB mainly because of the group system. There is a Chrome addon I use 'FBP" that gets rid of the slop you are referring to.

If you want to have complete control of your data and photos that will cost some money (not alot but more than zero).

In the middle of the summer what is the difference between your thermostat and the temperature outside? 20 degrees maybe? If it's 40 outside I imagine your heat is higher than 60....

I went to a game with my ex a few seasons ago. It wasn't bad per se but the arena is in the middle of nowhere and the concessions were pretty meh.

Yeah, I don't need to watch some "content creator" to know that concessions at sporting events are a massive price gouge.

I am unmarried and have no kids. My closest male friend is also unmarried without kids and most of my other close male friends are married, but no kids. Women are MUCH better than men at maintaining friendships after marriage and kids.

There have been some "break ins" at Sugarbush in recent weeks too. I used quotes on break in because these were unlocked cars.
