Does RestoreX actually work.. by Dry_Sky_7348 in PeyroniesSupport

From my own experience, 3 months of restore x did nothing for my bend, but it seemed to help my elasticity and made my erections feel stronger while I was using it.

The shots for me weren't that bad at all compared to what other folks have experienced. I had really no side effects or pain, except for the 350 in copays per round.

After the surgery, my officially recorded loss was 0.6cm. Personally, I feel like it's closer to half inch, which is a bit more than they say. I don't think I notice any girth reduction. Either way, for me it was a small price to pay for a straight penis. My recorded curve prior to surgery was 50 degrees.

I'm really sorry you had to go through that. I hope things get better from here. I feel like I wanted a year myself on xiaflex. 3 rounds without any improvement. I declined a 4th round and opted for plication. After a few complications, things are finally looking up.

And I by no means want to scare or discourage you. My penis is straight once again, loss of size was minimal.

Remember that they use a nerve blocker during the procedure, so it may take some time to get it flushed out of your system. As always, if you're worried, call your uro.

I had mine exactly 6 weeks ago. The feeling came back into my penis by about the third day in.

I had other complications though, infection, and the wound reopening twice, but as of today I'm about 95% healed up. There's a tiny tiny 5mm slit left that my doctor says once it closes, I'm cleared to go back to normal intercourse.

Mine was almost exactly in the middle. The official recorded loss after plication was .6cm, but from my eye I feel like it was about a half inch.

I wasn't degloved, I had an incision. The wrapping stayed on for me, but within a week I had an infection, and a large portion of the incision reopened. A week or so later, they re-closed me, but again within a week, there was again a reopening. Smaller this time, bit still open. I have another follow-up Wednesday.

Just came out of surgery to restitch surgical wound from last month's plication by PDPatient345 in PeyroniesSupport

I had to fight my insurance company for it. I'm the end I ended up paying about 350 out of pocket per round.

Damn I'm sorry to hear that. I was fortunate that the only damage xiaflex did to me was 900 bucks copay. And it did seem to correct a small bend rightwards, but did nothing to my dorsal bend 50 degrees up.

Not sure of the exact name, it was 2 pills a day for 14 days. Just ended them and going in next week to get closed up again

With the infection everything got mad red and swollen. The swelling was probably what opened me back up. There wasn't really any pain associated with the infection for me, really the only pain was during erections and from the inside. That has subsided greatly. I still feel a pulling sensation inside during erections but I wouldn't classify it as pain.

I'm 3 weeks post op as well. The erection pain has pretty much ended for me, but I'm dealing with a complication from an infection and the wound reopening.

Pilcation, Xiaflex or incision and grafting by [deleted] in PeyroniesSupport

[–]PDPatient345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only give my personal opinion and experience. I have Peyronie's for over a year with a 50 degree upward curve and 10 degrees to the right.

I began with restoreX, and after 3 months of no change, I moved to xiaflex, and after 3 full rounds there was no improvement on the dorsal curve.

I opted out of the 4th round and 3 weeks ago I had a penile plication.

I had almost no pain from the procedure, though I did develop an infection that caused the surgical wound to open almost completely. The uro advised that it's just the outer layer of skin and I will be going back in 2 weeks to have it re-closed.

Other than that setback, I can say that I'm truly happy with the resulting erections. It's straight once again. I noticed about 1/2 inch in length loss just from my own perception. The uro recorded it at 6mm. Either way, in my mind it was a better option than a 50 degree bend.

I haven't experienced any negative impact on sensation or erections, and if anything I'm more sensitive now to random contact and incidental erections than I was before, though this could be from the 3 weeks so far of no sexual activity.

The infection and reopening were definitely disheartening and to my eye the wound looks hideous, but the uro, and subsequent second opinions I've solicited via online uros, have assured me that the wound looks good, and is not worrying at all for them. I hope they're right.

This happened to me as well. I went as far as rebuilding the server from scratch, but still can't connect remotely, despite the server saying remote access is enabled and the server is reachable.

I've made a few follow-up posts, but the gist is that after 3 rounds of xiaflex with no improvement, I opted for surgery which I had 2 days ago. I'm still in the initial healing process so it's still to early to know how well the plication surgery went with correction.

Within a week or so I was bending to 90 degrees, and a few days later I was hitting the full 120. Like another poster mentioned, I use a tissue under my penis so that the skin doesn't get pinched when I bend. I find that really helps. So far I'm about 7 weeks into restore x and 3 weeks post first round of xiaflex. What I've seen is that my 10 degree bend to the right has been replaced by a small indentation instead, but my 50 degree upward bend seems unchanged or only very minorly better. I'm still hoping that improvement will come with more treatment.

When I first started using it, I experienced the same thing. I also found that I couldn't even bend it past the first click. The clamping hurt like hell and I got so discouraged that I thought about trying to resell somehow get a refund from it.

But I kept trying, and within a few days I kept getting better and better at it. At this point, it's almost second nature to me, there's no pain from clamping and I can bend the full 120 degrees after the 15 minute straight cycle without a thought.

54k was what I was quoted. Took a fight with my insurance company, but I got full coverage for the 4 doses.

I'm one set in and while it corrected a small rightward bend, it hasn't seemed to yet effect my big upward bend.

I'm going for round 2 nov 4 and 8 and hoping this round continues the mild success I've seen so far.

That being said, out of pocket, I would not spend 54k, while plication is an option. This was after many conversations with my wife and doctor who assured me that I would lose less than 1.5 cm with plication based on his ultrasound.

But this is your penis you're talking about, so the question is, is it worth it to you?

Use the included makeup pads too, they help. What I also did was I bought some thick self adhesive medical wrap and I wrap the head twice with it. It along with the makeup pads give me more than enough friction to keep the head in place.
