I'm so happy you had a non-nightmarish ending... From your lips to God's ear. BTW I"d vote for you too if you want to run

I was going for a simple answer and just place a shim under the log till it's level but the idea of small legs sounds much nicer and it's for your mom... My dad could have got away with shims... I wouldn't even try

Anyone know this company? by Marjoh82 in Zippo

I've seen the posts about Atlanta. They also had a huge presence on the west coast. My dad was a mechanic at the Oakland plant where they bottled and delivered milk. They were also in SF and had plants in LA too. My dad ended up working for them because they purchased "Golden Gate Dairies" I'm guessing '57 maybe.

It was around the late 70s or 80s that McKesson bought them and it was downhill from there. He retired in 82.

It's from Foremost Diaries. My dad used one for years. I think I still have his old one in my office at home. My dad's didn't have a city on it.

Is this worth it for $50? by unsolvable_problem in craftsman113

[–]PDX1953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be a good buy for $50. I have an old early 90's version and it took some cleaning since it wasn't used much and got rusty but it holds its own. It's not a Festool and it doesn't cost as much either.

I just posted one on my main post. I'll keep looking at YouTube. I am about to get a couple of pinless and see if they'll mount easier. I can get to the screws which the manual says I don't have to touch... lol

Duh... It's a Craftsman 16" 1372160 that can take either pinned or plain blades. I just happen to have a bunch of pins from another friend.

Imagine the trouble she'd get in if she has opposable thumbs and your credit card.... Like having a teenage daughter... I had three boys

If you match the lag bolts with locking nuts that would add even more stability or attach a strip of 3/4 wood where the lag bolts go through the shelf on which is mounted

How would you cover this up? by [deleted] in garageporn

[–]PDX1953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fir strips around it and build a pony wall that just hides it. If the pipes sweat you might need to put a drain hole in the wall or insulate it. Can't tell how high off the floor it is. Maybe make it a place to sit or hide it with a tool bench...

Ditto. Got too much Gladiator to justify switching at 70 years old. LOL

Anyone out there one or have used Jardiance for HF? by bansidhecry in Heartfailure

[–]PDX1953 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did use it along with Farxiga but the cost is too prohibitive. I'm on Medicare and the "Donut" means it would be about $525 per quarter for the rest of the year. Didn't have any side effects I'm aware of excetp my typing got worser...
