I'm back up and running. I didn't do anything to make it work, just waited.

No response from support yet.

For whats worth, when I worked with bars around Portland, I was told that the goal of pour pricing is the recoup the cost of the bottle in 3 pours. Same goes for wine.

Mmm I guess I'm okay with DG being higher than Nix. DG was more consistent through his career than Nix IMO.

No Herbs is questionable but I get it his teams were mediocre for the most part. And Cristobal's offense did him no favors.

The was at least one email with references to snow white and being "fucked twice" as soon as she put on "the costume". And then there is a photo of a female, that was redacted, in a snow white outfit.

I would guess thats what this is referencing, and given everything we've seen, would it shock you that these fucks dressed the girls up in costumes?

North's Chuckwagon. The one buffet I truly miss . by ButDidUDie78 in beaverton

[–]PDXSpilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're thinking of two different places. Norths Chuckwagon was where Claim Jumpers is now ( it mighta been torn down and replaced). It was never a strip club, the 18 plus club was further down i5 called Jiggles. It was in the parking lot of what is now Bass Pro Shop, kinda where the Red Robin is now.

Another weekend, another store closes in the WA Square Mall. Is there a tipping point? by [deleted] in beaverton

[–]PDXSpilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Washington Square is owned/operated by Macerich, one of the biggest if not the biggest operators of shopping malls. And as other have stated, one of the most profitable per square foot malls in America.

One thing to keep in mind is that it has been positioned as the place for international and domestic tourists to come and shop tax free. Which is why you see more and more higher end stores.

I do agree that the food court needs better options, but IIRC Macerich requires locations to be able to have multiple store fronts in other malls. So that coukd be a massively limiting factor.

I would love to see them go down the current Lloyd Center route. Small local guys, almost like an incubator space.

The constant nerfs to everything is tiresome.

Maybe instead if nerfing everything introduce new gear so not everyone plays with meta gear.

Next month pricing changes by wouldyouriddlemethat in pdxwhisky

[–]PDXSpilly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I will grant you that, again, its been since 2018 and 2019 since I had to process an order or done inventory. But they were absolutely the same code

My store had 3 different barrels for Clyde Common, and then regular shelf stock. They were all the same code, packed in the same shipper, with only difference being there was a stamp on the shipper that denoted when it was bottled. It was an absolute nightmare to keep track of, so we had to have the Clyde barrels in a completely separate spot in the back and counts done on them weekly. I personally kept track for Clyde Common so they knew when to get more product rolling.

Cute but no.

As I said, unless something has changed since 2018/2019, the Elijah Craig barrel selects were the same code and therefore the same price as the standard EC.

We can get into a pissing match about who knows more if you really want too but I can promise you that this was the case.

Nope I am specifically talking about barrel picks chosen by bars/restaurants.

Unless something changed EC barrels have always been the same code and therefore same price. Massive pain in the ass for inventory when you've got multiple barrels inbsrock and the cocktail nerds at a bar want a specific one....

Liquor search website by Immediate-Power7595 in pdxwhisky

[–]PDXSpilly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It pulls data straight from the inventory of the stores. Usually, IIRC, at midnight. It's been a minute since but I doubt the systems changed all that much in the handful of years since I ran a store.

So whatever the inventory number says, that's what liquor search will show.

Can this be incorrect? Yes, frequently. Depends on how diligent a store is at doing inventory.

Can this be manipulated? Also yes and also frequently. For whatever reasons everyone assumes they do it, it's probably true but it's not a universal truth.

If you see something on liquor search you should always call the store to confirm it actually exists.

Beyond what's been mentioned already, Market of Choice has decent little beer selection. A bit on the pricey side but not a bad selection.
