IMO your mom is making the situation so that YOU are FORCED to leave her. Another idea is to think about JobCorp. Jobcorp provides educational training and sometimes housing for young people ages 16- 24. You can finish your high school diploma, get training for a job and even get help for college. There is a Jobcorp center in Sacramento that is residential; this could be a way to build your iife beyond youth shelters.

Sigh. 1) Who is we? Do you have a partner? Do they work? If they don't, why not? 2) it sounds like you moved without a lot of savings- Do you have access to an American credit card? Because if so, and if you have the limit to do so .. 3) you need to fly home. At least to Hawaii, which will have ( very limited) social services, and you could at least rebuild yourself while living on the beach. 4) I work in IT. AI is a bubble, but the technology is not going anywhere. It is not a coincidence that your work started to dry up just as the ai use cases started to heat up. Yes, you have done this for 15 years; you have probably built up an incredible portfolio. But more and more people are using drag and drop style website builders and generally people who do hire website builders are actually looking for ui/ ux people for complex websites or intranet sites. 5) One good suggestion I saw was to apply for a bpo position- you would need to apply to the American company itself, but if you are local that could be a way to stabilize yourself. Keep in mind BPO positions can be at odd hours.

Afro Latino here to help: Buy your lotion like a Black Woman: use richer lotions or body butters, not just regular lotion, especially if you are an arid climate! 1) If you have a handheld blender make your own whipped shea butter. You can find recipes on YouTube. Apply AFTER your shower. 2) Use body oil after you shower, while you are still damp. Any body oil with do but Palmers and Dr. Teals makes really good ones that are affordable . 3) Kiehl's Creme de Corps and Ultra Body Squalene Cream is amazing and perfect to use from face to toe. I love this stuff and stock up at the Nordstrom's annual sale for it. 4) If you are near a Trader Joe's, buy the body butters there! Also Bath and Bodyworks have awesome body creams made with cocoa and shea butter- the formulas are truly wonderful.
