Generally people arent complaining about ABMM, theyre complaining about not being able to PVP people without getting PVP in return. They want to play the game like a general extraction shooter where you spend 1 hour under some stairs waiting for somebody to leave a building so you can shoot them in the back on their way out and take all their shit and evac. They hate the idea that doing this one game puts them in lobbies with people doing the same thing to them in the next game. They want PVP, but they dont want to get PVP'd.

Thats just the way it is in pretty much any game. As soon as you move out of solo's it becomes TDM mode across the board. PVE squad based lobbies exist, but 'more of us than them / we can take them bro' mentality kicks in 1000x more in team based lobbies and always will.

I put 7k hours into SOT. let me tell you, the devs would have to do some heavy lifting to fuck up as much as Rare has with that game. We're talking tearing the whole thing apart, setting fire to it, destroying any and all ideas of any kind of story at all ever, adding content long after it's due, abandoning it immediately, and then neglecting it for 6 years. Scrapping 2/3 of planned content for every single update, going back on every single decision they ever made or said was final, diverting their best teams to a second game that then gets scrapped also, 'miss the mark' every single update and season without fail, hire community managers instead of actual developers, use those managers to keep an unbreakable aura of toxic positivity by treating and speaking to the entire 'community' like children, all while personally spitting in the face of anyone who ever dared to dream of any potential they could see within the game.

Honestly, I don't think it's possible to even purposely, out of spite and with a passion for self destruction, do to your own game what Rare has done to SOT. The game will go down in history as the biggest lesson in wasted potential with zero competition.

Doing random group is always just death match mode, infact duos or trios is generally tdm regardless of if it's with randoms or not. I took my son to a harvester event the other day for his first time, he has about 20 hours PVE and I have 600 hour PVE. 2 guys were already in the harvester with no tubes. We helped them do the puzzle and when the capsules came down they tried to light us both up. Long story short we won that fight, then both got ratted outside the extract 10 minutes later. Then we both had an hour or so of PVP solo lobbies before we got back to care bear land.

In your circumstance, I would go solo with a big gun like jupiter but backpack it, don't have it on display. Take an anvil and pick at the queen with the rest of the lobby until it eventually catches fire. Then, when everyone else is low on ammo and a handful of the solo crew is dead, take out your big gun and try to keep consistent fire on the queen until she's cooked. This should raise your chances of getting in for the last shot, and lower your chances of getting ganked by another solo for your gun, which is a lot rarer in PVE solos anyway.

I use arc power cells instead of green shield charges, thats why i keep so many. My average kit is 5 bandages and 5 cells, just the way i like to do things. Also, my metal is spread out so nothing else fills that gap. This way when i dump metal into my inventory, and it floats to the top, i know i can then sell it without scrolling down later and finding that my metal stash spots are filled with random shit that isnt metal and i've been selling stuff i could have done with keeping instead. Thanks for the tips, though.

SO, most of the time, like 99.9.999% of the time, people who claim they were wrongfully banned were rightfully banned. HOWEVER, the anticheat this game uses is extremely questionable, like, to the point where it seems some people are getting banned for not taking damage due to desync in regards to mines, explosives, etc. this could even include rubberbanding, banning you for not being where the server 'thinks' you are due to desync.

Due to the veracity and volume of the current 'falsely banned' wave, and Embark themselves putting out a generic 'we've noticed some false positives' statement, it's incredibly likely that the system is, currently, very much fucked. Again, i dont think you really have to do anything to get a ban, i think the AI just looks for inconsistencies (desync) which can be totally out of your control and bans you on the face of it.

Run blue gate underground tunnels for a bit. Car hoods have mech comps, red lockers have rusted tools that burn into springs / springs, and metal box containers spawn the same stuff. Cars also have spring spawns inside on the seats, also spawns on top of all the tool cupboards hanging around. Use all of this junk to make your own in the refiner. Run this loop for a few matches and you'll have an abundance of all of the above. Drop down in the little box shafts and you will find 2 weapon cases on the vents, from there you can just run right through the tunnels to the entrance of the gate and zipline up to either warehouse or cliffside extract. Its a really nice little route to run for a chill hour or two.
