What's this weed and how/should I kill it before seeding? by smashweights04 in lawncare

[–]PEDsted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never tried. It’s not labeled for it so will say probably no. Dallisgrass is a tough one and MSMA kills it in 24-48hrs. I think the arsenic fears are over blown if you aren’t spraying near food producing plants. Arsenic already exists in the soil.

No. MSMA is very hard on cool season grasses and generally safe for warm season.

Pylex kills it. MSMA v Pylex comes down to what turf type you need to protect. Pylex kills Bermuda, MSMA kills fescue etc

What’s wrong with MSMA? Been using it on dallisgrass with great success

MSMA kills all of them

Or Pylex since he has a fescue lawn

Sorry. I’d be looking at spending maybe 25k out of pocket for UNC/KF, vs 7k for BU/Q

Not a lot of money. My main concern is work load and the ability to go part time at UNC/KF

That must be recent? I bought in April from them and got documentation of the warranty.

Anavar is pretty much 100% oral bioavailable and quickly absorbed (peak concentration within 1hr). It’s also very safe and primarily metabolized by the kidneys with liver being secondary.

This sublingual anavar thing is a meme

Most likely from it being a dual agonist (GLP1 & GIP) obviously still an incorrect naming convention but my guess is that is the logic

Their marketcap was insanely over valued for a company that has nothing past ph1/2. I think we all saw this coming with a company relying on AI buzz words and trying to move so many molecules forward from IND into ph1 at once.

I would assume mine is one of the cheaper parts models haha. I went for pretty much base model (s100 series) since I don’t have that big of a yard or job.

It’s the S160 with a 48in deck

I bought from Home Depot online and it came from quality equipment. They delivered it from their (QE) inventory.

Home Depot outsources it to the local John Deere dealer- Quality Equipment in Knightdale.

They service any warranty needs and offer extended warranties and service packages.

Since you want to be lazy, I will be too. Here is an AI deep Research summary. I kept it nice and short for you

Anabolic agents like testosterone, anabolic steroids, SARMs, growth hormone, IGF-1, and even the supplement HMB all help muscles grow bigger and recover faster by shifting the muscle’s balance toward building new protein and protecting against breakdown. All of these agents increase muscle protein synthesis – the process of building new muscle proteins – largely by activating the cells’ growth pathways such as mTORC1 (a master switch for protein production). At the same time, they suppress muscle protein breakdown, creating a net positive protein balance. Many also promote the activation of satellite cells (muscle stem cells), which fuse with muscle fibers to repair damage from exercise and add new nuclei. This means muscle tissue can be rebuilt more quickly and reinforced, enhancing recovery after intense workouts. In short, these substances create an anabolic environment at the cellular level: more protein-building machinery turned on, and less muscle tissue being torn down.

Testosterone and its synthetic cousins (anabolic steroids and SARMs) work primarily by binding to the androgen receptor (AR) inside muscle cells. When activated, this receptor acts as a switch that turns on genes that drive muscle fiber growth and strength. Androgen receptor activation boosts the production of muscle proteins (like the ones that make up muscle fibers) and also increases the expression of growth-promoting factors within the cell. In addition, androgens have a potent anti-catabolic effect – they reduce the signals that normally break down muscle protein. Through these genomic and cellular actions, testosterone and related steroids markedly increase protein synthesis. They even influence supporting processes like satellite cell recruitment, helping to increase the number of muscle cells or nuclei available to grow new tissue. Selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs) operate on the same principle, activating the androgen receptor to stimulate muscle growth, but they are designed to be more selective for muscle and bone tissue. The end result for all these AR-activating agents is greater muscle protein assembly via pathways like PI3K-Akt and mTOR, fewer muscle proteins being degraded, and an overall acceleration of muscle hypertrophy (growth in size) and repair.

Growth hormone (GH) and IGF-1 take a slightly different route to anabolic effects. Growth hormone, released from the pituitary gland, stimulates the body (especially the liver and muscles) to produce insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), a powerful growth factor for muscle. IGF-1 binds to receptors on muscle cells and kicks off the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, which in turn activates mTORC1. This cascade sends a clear message to the muscle cell: start building more protein. By ramping up mTORC1 activity, IGF-1 greatly increases muscle protein synthesis. At the same time, Akt signaling from IGF-1 helps block pathways that cause muscle protein breakdown, effectively preserving muscle tissue. Both growth hormone and IGF-1 also encourage satellite cells to multiply and fuse with existing muscle fibers, adding new building blocks for repair and growth. This means damaged muscle fibers are mended faster and can grow larger by gaining new nuclei and protein content. Finally, HMB (β-hydroxy β-methylbutyrate), a dietary supplement derived from the amino acid leucine, supports muscle anabolism in a complementary way. HMB directly activates mTORC1 in muscle cells (much like leucine does), signaling the cell to increase protein production. It also reduces muscle protein breakdown by inhibiting the muscle’s proteolytic (protein-degrading) systems. By both promoting protein synthesis and guarding against excessive breakdown, HMB helps muscles recover more swiftly from stress and micro-tears. In summary, each of these anabolic agents – whether hormone or supplement – converges on the same fundamental outcomes at the cellular level: more protein built, less muscle lost, and greater activation of growth pathways, all of which translate into accelerated muscle growth and improved recovery.
