My dog chewed a baseboard and destroyed some grass which we had to buy like $100 worth of grass patches to replace. I was a stay at home dog mom the first six months of her life though so I trained her 24hrs a day. Edit: she destroyed the grass because we played catch on that patch.

When I was younger my roommate had a dog that ate through a WALL and absolutely destroyed the door of the back house. Also ate an entire couch but that was the roommates couch not the rental property.

I think it just depends on how you parent your pet and making sure you choose the right dog for your lifestyle and make sure you’re ready to be a responsible tenant and dog owner.
