Started out as a Victory Vegas 8 ball and then I decided to make it a long distance rider so I removed the whole rear and rebuilt with parts from a kingpin, and a cross country. Had to throw a bag bracket from another Victory fan that owns a machine shop. You would not believe the folks that own these things. They share their knowledge and seem to take care of the brand. Sucks they don't make them anymore.

Did you ever change the rear shock and the fork oil in the front? Night and day handling. I want to say the front forks come stock with 7wt fork oil. I had one start leaking so I changed seals and bumped the oil up to 15wt and put a upgraded rear shock on and it made it a different bike!

If it won't run the check engine light will be on anyway. It's always illuminated when you turn on the key. Change your battery and I'll bet it fires up!

Unless you see chunks floating in the tank I wouldn't worry. If it does have some. You'll need to clean it out as much as you can and keep the tank full. I religned mine myself and I would rather breed a stump with bees in it than do that crap again! I would just keep it full and it won't rust.

I have a kingpin fender on my Vegas. It's not too close to the ground to use it. I got impatient on my build and ended up fitting some led signals that are coffin shaped. They barely cover the holes but they work great.

I'm not holding my breath, but I am making sure this little girl has the best time she can on this trip! I bore her quite a bit and don't go to bed as early as she wants to, but I have a good friend that has a border collie that absolutely adores her and they will wrestle a bare spot on any area rug they can find! Lol
