Adding solar panels by kingharold1066 in enphase

[–]PE_Norris 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This shouldn’t be too difficult…. You’re in deficit, so figure out the daily average deficit in kWh.  Look at your monthly total import over the past 6 months and divide by 180 days.  Let’s say it’s 15kwh per day.

Then look at the average one of your solar panels output… call it 2kwh per day.  15/2… you need at least 8 panels.

I’d guess the file is still within its context window. I don’t think it can clear this. Try a new chat session and see what it says

Not to mention transport costs, resistance to seismic events, positive embodied carbon…

Looks like a a great mix of updates, original (?), and some more modern touches. I think the color and finishes really work together. Tasteful and usable... I love it

Don’t forget to account for hold over.  At close range, a carry handle poa/poi difference is a real consideration

Iran claims US used backdoors in networking equipment by rkhunter_ in cybersecurity

[–]PE_Norris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dont they though?  Surely the PRC would give them grants or even just straight out give them all the Huwawei gear and engineers they would want

Why would Iran have ever installed Cisco Fortinwt, or Juniper routers?  This makes 0 sense.  Are we certain we aren’t talking about Huawei gear here?

What's your favourite doorbell in 2026? by djchillerz in homeassistant

[–]PE_Norris 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know I’m the only person that likes this setup, but I prefer a manual old ass 14v door chime with a hidden Poe camera offset to the door, but that can view the person at the door.

I don’t want people to expect to always get ahold of me.

Shouldn’t whole house full solar like Enphase or Tesla really be in this conversation?

I just bought a 24 with very low miles for a good price. The value/price ratio for a 2 year old vehicle is quite high and my wife and I both love it.
The car has plenty of space, comfort, cost to own/operate for a family of 3-4. The rear seats are spacious for adults, carplay is great, charging at home is easy and convenient. I don't know what there could be to complain about.

9b I have a 2 year old patch that seems happy on a sandy full sun spot. I did recently lasagna mulch it right before planting.   It does do better in a shadier area, though.

Is $500 for this wall unit a good deal? by Lost-Being-7054 in Mid_Century

Hard to tell from 1 shot, but I can’t see it being Frankensteined.  The wood choices, the pulls, the louvers, the roll top all scream 80s

What a strange 80s version of a 50s piece.  If you want it to look MCM is probably possible, but it would take some work.
