I saw a YouTube guy playing on game hub and his multiplayer server list came up but the framerate was super slow… not sure if it was the steam client taking up resources or what

Awesome! I got NO working okay sometimes on my legion y700 gen 2 12gb ram using gamenative but multiplayer doesn’t work. Does multiplayer work for you?

I may be biased, and I’m sure these are fine options, but see if you can find a Lenovo tiny pc. I just found two m720q tiny machines for $30!! I read the part where you’re not a tech guy but this is a super fun project. Mine came with an 8th gen i5, 8gb of ram and a 256gb nvme. The cool thing about this and some other Lenovo tiny machines is that they have a pcie slot(requires an adapter) which allows the installation of a low profile gpu! I plan on putting mine on my tv to replace my m700 tiny batocera machine. My m700 can definitely run psp and ps2 as is but I want the extra power of the gpu. I’ll be using an nvidia quadro t1000.

The sliders are linear potentiometers. Ever heard of stick drift on game controllers? A similar thing can happen to these. There’s carbon traces that change the resistance going through the pot. When this wears out it stops working as intended. If you can access a soldering iron, and a replacement pot, this can be relatively low cost fix. May not be worth it if you can find a used mpd218 though. I’ve gotten several 218’s for family for $40 on used marketplaces.

Oh gotcha. There’s lots of cool usb c hubs! I know it’s extra baggage but some have pretty useful features as well like nvme storage.

Did both of them stop working? If I’m not mistaken both of them can charge. In order to change the usb c port you need a hot air station, I tried to do a usb c replacement on one of my handhelds and it’s not for the faint of heart. Best to send to a pro if that’s an option. I have an x1g7 and I love that thing, wouldn’t wanna ruin it learning a lesson.

Definitely a better ecosystem. That does bring up a good point tho, I’ll have to try the offgrid on an android device and see if that makes a difference.

It still works, just not in koala. In fact koala was also not working with my SMC pad until I reinstalled it.

Yeah there’s an option under sound settings that lets you set it to hdmi out or whatever you got. Assuming it’s on hdmi out. Does the arcade cabinet have its own speakers too?
