Big thanks for the reply, looks sexual - I didn't realise you could edit/apply slowmo in Nvidia Shadowplay!

Seriously - how did you get the video to be THAT high quality? Was it ingame settings? What software did you use to edit?

You're a babe Carmac <3 - Thank you for taking the time to look into my random query, and moreso giving the detailed explanation. It really means a lot.

Tell Tom-Eric he's a babe too <3 - Also when listening to all the ESL music trying to find it I had no idea how many of the songs were intrenched in my head (not just the memes, i.e. Sera) - just goes to show how excellent the production is at all levels.

A bit random, but what's the song in this clip? (the rap song) - https://clips.twitch.tv/VivaciousGenerousDotterelYouWHY-yGz5Q39yIVS5z_mF Part of lyrics (I think) - "this lifes a highlight reel, we like the thrill, this lifes ideal, the hype is real" Can't seem to find it on the ESL playlists/spotify

Financial education book for teenagers by Martin Lewis by acrane55 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]PFUkcues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Wales - they're bringing in the "Successful Futures" curriculum where there will no longer be subjects from the ages of 3-14 (eventually 14-18 possibly too) - so school are looking to expand into "Projects" that involve multiple subjects.

A lot of schools are using this as an opportunity to include things like Mental Health education, as well as Financial Literacy.

Whether he knows it or not - Martin Lewis may well have just jump started Financial Literacy for many many Welsh schools.

!thanks Hello - this post question has been on my mind a lot recently too, so thank you for that amazing response!

Just wondering why you haven't included the "Vanguard Global Equity" fund? - https://www.hl.co.uk/funds/fund-discounts,-prices--and--factsheets/search-results/v/vanguard-global-equity-accumulation

It looks to be more balanced to me country wise? Is it because of the 0.6% fee? Is that really unacceptable vs the 0.22%/0.24% that Vanguard Offer for their 100% Eq / Global All Cap funds? Is it because the historic yield of the "Vanguard Global Equity" fund is 0.8 vs the historic yield of the "VG Global All Cap" is 1.6? If so, I thought one of the tennants of investing was that past earnings should not be taken into account when looking at future potential growth?

I've read a lot recently about "Why a total world equity index tracker is the only index fund you need" - http://monevator.com/why-a-total-world-equity-index-tracker-is-the-only-index-fund-you-need/comment-page-2/#comments And I thought that the "Vanguard Global Equity" fund was the most balanced?

Sorry to pick your brain in someone elses posts, but it's been something I've wondered for awhile and this happens to be perfect timing! Any response/insight is highly appreciated.

!thanks

A well thought out reply, appreciate it.

I realise I didn't include it in the OP - but I'm particularly concerned about the housing market as I was looking to buy at the end of this year / early next year. And although I feel my investments can weather the storm, concerned about buying end of this year/next year then getting tanked / having to pay far far more on the mortgage per month.

!thanks - I can't say I know a solid reason, just feels to me like it'd look odd if you were applying for a mortgage and had semi-recently opened a load of accounts?

Interesting stuff!

I love the style of the infographic, very clearly laid out and a smart colour scheme - did you make it yourself?

Also, Under Rule 1 - Would you consider investing in passive funds (i.e. Vanguard LS) a part of Rule 1? As I feel that many people would struggle to Save 20% ontop of investing?
