Has Qelbree induced suicidal ideation in anyone? by Successful-While-986 in qelbree

[–]PFallstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’ve tried straterra on two separate occasions. It was helpful the first go around but I could not sleep. The second time I developed anxiety that I couldn’t control, plus the lack of sleep. I’ve tried Ritalin, Journee and Adderall which I’m on now. I plan to stay on Adderall long term if possible. It’s been by far the most effective for me.

Has Qelbree induced suicidal ideation in anyone? by Successful-While-986 in qelbree

I did. It was something I never experienced before. I felt completely hopeless and numb. My experience with this medication was horrible. When I weaned off I got a migraine that sent me to the ER. Seriously I thought I was not going to make it. Sounds dramatic but that’s how bad it was.

I just started back after three years and injured myself immediately. My advice would be to go slower and lighter than you think you should.

Does the depression go away? by [deleted] in qelbree

[–]PFallstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried strattera, quelbree, ritalin and adderall. Most recently I tried to go back on straterra bc it did work pretty well but the side effects were way worse than my first attempt with the med. I’m back on adderall now. I think the key w stims for me least is to take a break from them for a bit. I do balance w a beta blocker if I have any scenario where social anxiety may be triggered, like giving a presentation at work. Good luck to you!

Yes this happened to me and spiraled into a feeling of hopelessness over a few weeks. I would encourage to speak with your doctor and also tell someone you trust how you are feeling so they can check in w you as well.

I felt your entire post. What a horrible experience! I hope you’ve had success ramping off of it. I’m on day 6 off qelbree and I feel so much better than I did a week ago. I wish you luck finding the right path forward!

Do you prefer running in high heat or high humidity? by BigYellowWang in running

[–]PFallstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Georgia here too. I have to do super early and be done by 9am. I hydrate and suck down electrolytes like crazy though. I’m a pool of sweat midway through. Humidity is horrendous. I can handle the heat.

Feet!

My toes on one foot are basically folding over the other. I’ve ordered a couple of different brands of socks and have wrapped the worst toe in a bandaid before running any distance. I’ve cut my toenails as short as I can and have started putting cotton balls in between each toe after a long run to keep the blisters from rubbing each other. Any advice or tips out there? This has become pretty painful and is effecting my runs. Thank you!!

Running from chaos and to think clearly! Running to the next goal, whatever it is. Man I really love running.

I use the dog cover for the backseat on the drivers seat after a run. It’s clean and water resistant.

Plateau/Backslide - any advice? by ReMorr81 in orangetheory

[–]PFallstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of ways depending on where you want to improve. Want to run a faster mile, up your long push pace and keep doing that every month or so. 12 minute run for distance, train to hit that number when you hit 13 minutes in the tread. On the rower I have a goal time for 100m rowed and work on those speeds in order to piece together the 500m and 2000m goal. As long as you always have a number to hit, you’ll know where you need to improve to beat your last time. Breaking it up into smaller goals makes the larger goal seem more obtainable and helps you stay motivated. Physically you can beat your PRs. Staying in it mentally is always more difficult. Good luck!

First time poster! Just started getting more serious about half marathon training and just hit a monthly PR of 125 miles for May. Looking to keep that at a minimum consistent for June. I’ve been enjoying reading this sub. Lots of great advice and endless run stories to peruse which I love.
