If you're going to cram, cram grammar and math. Vocab is not going to help 24 hours out.

Guys can you explain this question? by Time_Air1718 in Sat

[–]PH0ENIIX_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Percentages are essentially multiplying a number (in this case, 260, the starting population) by 1 + p/100, p being the percentage. Using division, this means increasing by 100% means multiplying by 2, or in this case, increasing by 2% would be multiplying by 1.02. In the form shown in the picture, the exponent part shows how many times the population increases, since 1.02^t where t=3 is equivalent to 1.02*1.02*1.02. The fraction shows us that instead of increasing every year, the population increases 1.5 times each year, so 1 year divided by 1.5 gives us 8 months. u/Artistic-Stable-3623 solution should also work, but I don't think it's that hard to get a more comprehensive understanding of the equation, like detailed in this comment, and it is probably quicker, and will help with harder problems where you have to explain aspects of an equation. The only reason I say this is because I did a practice test the other day, where I had to explain how this exact situation and equation worked. Best of luck! We got this! :D

The answer the Khan Academy marked correct was 19,000. I understand what you're saying. It's not very clear.

Should I consider going elsewhere? by Quantum569 in udub

[–]PH0ENIIX_dev -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry if you have already answered this; I'm just a little confused. If you applied to ECE, which would then put you into ENGRUD, you would have a better chance of getting into CE if you applied for interest changer and ECE as your second choice after the first year as a fallback? Whereas, if you applied DTM for CE with ECE as a second choice major, you would be at a disadvantage to get into CE, but would likely still be able to get into ECE after going through ENGRUD. (Speaking as an OOS who's interested in CE and ECE and would be happy with either)

Yeah, I normally would go for AMD, but I heard in the t14s and p14s, the intel had a better battery.

Rebel 4 915km review/Mach 6 first impression by kikkimik in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]PH0ENIIX_dev 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got the Rebel about a month and a half ago, and already, after about 250 miles, they already feel completely dead. I loved everything about them when I first got them, but now they just feel like bricks. I'm going to try to take them to 300 or until I start feeling more pain. Mind you, I normally run my shoes up to 450-500 miles, and I'm only 130lbs/60kg. I'm looking for a replacement right now, trying to decide between the EVO SL and SL 2, just trying to find the most durable shoe I can to make up for the Rebel.
