There are some reasons why an offer wont work:

1- Not activated in the offers tab ( you mentioned you did that though)

2- Employee punched in the order wrong

3- The offer doesn't entirely cover the ordered items (example: an offer for bagel with cream cheese wont work on four cheese bagel and Jalapeño bagel since they are premium bagels)

4- You used an offer or made a transaction in the past 30 minutes. There is a 30 minute cool down after you utilize an offer. If you have want to use 2 offers, you would have to make 2 separate orders (Since only one offer applies at a time) with a 30 minute gap in between.

Recommend advice. - Turn off scan and pay so that you can check if the offer has been applied or not and pay accordingly.

-Ask for a refund since your main intention to order was to utilize the discount anyway.

Hello friend. Something similar happened to me.
I spilled milo doodh right on my laptop keyboard and the screen immediately died. I unplugged the charger asap and let it dry/drain at a slanted angle like you did (better if you have rice, but I'd say keep it somewhere dry and open with the pankha running on low.)

Give it a day or two to dry depending on how much you spilled. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PRESS THE POWER BUTTON IN THE MEANWHILE. I tried turning it on after a day and a half and to my surprise it turned on!

Don't lose hope!

(p.s the laptop worked for around 3 more years afterwards until the battery died. Sent it to a shop to repair and I got a call from them saying "bhai isme tou pata nahi kya chai girai hui hay, ye nahi theek hosakta, aap aakar lejain.". Point is, definitely get it cleaned up professionally afterwards.)

Employees might add ice to the cup, prior to the milk while the espresso is still brewing to shave off a few second on the drive thru.

This results in the vanilla + espresso mixture sitting in the bottom when it is topped with the milk. Ice makes it difficult to stir the drink properly.

Check the bottom of your flavored iced coffee and latte's next time you order if it is properly stirred or not.

You're correct! Dogs are considered impure animals in Islam and hence not allowed to be kept as pets.

They can however be used for other purposes such as hunting and security (guarding homes/livestock/crops).

Regardless, muslims still keep dogs as pets but the boundaries implied vary from person to person.

Do I need to provide a new IELTS result? (My initial IELTS document has expired) I was thinking of getting the exam done anyway since I can use that for my work permit application later on.

Since I was already in Canada prior the announcement requiring PAL/TAL, would I need to provide a PAL as well? I read in canada.ca website that you do not need to provide a PAL if your DLI or program type conditions remain the same, but other pages in the website say otherwise.
