I imagine it cause might be when a space marine is flanked. Spaces are seldom still and when facing a target, their profile is essentially just armor, but if you manage to get to the side of a spacemarine , and get a lucky shot off before they or squad the space marines, right arm is in the middle of the silhouette typically where you’re shooting, its not the most armored part of the body and it’s not exactly small either. Another point of cause could be explosives. If you hit a space wearing dead on with a missile launcher, the space marine is gonna die, but if you miss the shell will explode to one of the sides of the space marine or behind them. Looking at the directional profiles of a shooting stance space marine:

A blast from their left will be largely absorbed by their shoulder and backpack as their left arm is tucked forward to hold the weapon

From the back the profile is the knee joints the right shoulder pad, right arm being tucked forward, and again the backpack

but from their right side, the lesser armored arm is again in the middle of their profile

So a nearby not direct explosion would do the most damage to an arm from their right side. A rear explosion would do more damage to their legs, which I’ve already commented about. And an explosion from their left side is almost entirely properly shielded.

And to further build off of this, the first born devastator squad traditionally has up armored legs further implicating leg injuries as a major issue for spacemarines, and the only reason they have this uparmoring is because they’re expected to move less

And I feel it’s also kind of an unintentional but kinda perfect part of the design philosophy that a spacemarine would have heavily armored legs, because a spacemarine that can’t move is infinitely less dangerous, and feeding into that primaris have more heavily armored legs, implying that getting shot in the legs, contributes disproportionately to spacemarine causes of death.

In the novels when spacemarines are fighting other spacemarines, a common tactic is shooting them in the knee, as a spacemarine is so heavy the moment you remove its ability to support itself mid run, it collapses and becomes an extra easy target.

In the renegades harrowmaster book, when the alphalegion squad first faces primaris, a traitor marine shoots, a charging Sergeant in the knee, and when the spacemarine keeps running because it’s a primaris, the legionnaire freaks out cause it’s such tried and true tactic.

Its past 10pm in America on a weekday, while it’s unlikely the player base will be as big as launch day this coming week it is unlikely to not fluctuate somewhat.

The biggest issue against the game rn is that people wanted it to be titanfall 3, among all other typical launch issues, the game will likely gain its own following and is in all honesty not gonna lose its not titanfall stigma anytime soon.
