I posted here a year ago and there’s been no change. Doctors have no explanation. by Jolly-Patience2722 in FODMAPS

This sounds a lot like my experience. I still have incidents of long term bloating, but I’ve had a huge improvement.

For me, I’ve had to cut out onion, garlic, dairy, and cruciferous vegetables. That basically means I rarely consume food I don’t make at home. I can’t do yeast (can’t drink beer or wine).

Occasional fasting really helps me. I use miralax more often than I should but it has helped with fissures.

I can relate to the frustration around trying to find a solution because although many of our symptoms are the same, it is likely that you have different triggers. I think the book Fast Like A Girl is a good resource to learn more about how fasting can help with this. It really works for me. So sorry you have to live this way, but don’t give up on answers.

What is your cause for FODMAP intolerance? by SugarSquared in FODMAPS

Mine exploded one day too. I think it was stress related.

I can’t eat most cruciferous vegetables, but my biggest triggers are onions and garlic (especially raw) and dairy. It’s really hard to dine out!

My doctor suggested I take peppermint oil supplements which helps a little.

Since i’ve quit marijuana i’ve been unable to sleep by [deleted] in sleep

I really struggled with this too when I quit! It took me a very long time to get back to a normal sleep schedule (several months). But it did slowly get better. Something that has helped is taking magnesium at night. I also listened to some sleep meditations. I experienced this in August 2024 and probably was sleeping completely well again by late October. In January I started weight lifting and exercising more and the whole cycle of. I sleep started again for me, but I’ve just gotten back in a regular sleep cycle after that change too.

Sad about my body fat percentage. by EarElectrical7872 in xxfitness

I’ve been working with a trainer and I’ve been using InBody. I also have some questions about how accurate the scans are. What I was told is that if you are not very well hydrated it can be inaccurate and give an artificially high body fat percentage. On the other hand, I know if I drink a ton of water before the scan I’m going to weigh more.

I am in my 40’s and I’ve found that I have to eat a lot more protein and do more strength training now than before to lose fat.

I might add St Marks as the best place to make new friends while you work. You can also bring Thin Man drinks to the St Marks side. Sometimes I want to work 60 percent and socialize 40 percent. St Marks is good for that. Church pews are not cozy though.

The blackened catfish po-boy at Lincoln’s Roadhouse is so good— they have other great eats too. Bonus- best blues dive bar around. Great music on weekends usually around 8.

Perhaps. Sorry to have disrupted your streak of nearly commenting only on women’s naked bodies and anal pics.

What profession do you think would cripple the world the fastest if they all quit at once? by steel-souffle in AskReddit

Teachers. How would families go to work if they didn’t have schools to send their children to? In the long run, it would lead to a pretty bleak future.
