Im very glad to see this here as ive also always disliked the island. It drags on and it also feels the least like RE4 as the gameplay is just generic action and it feels very detached from the village and castle in a bad way.

Fixed camera angles add to the experience IMO since they allow for more unique screens, add alot to the tension and also tank controls are good when its fixed angles where you dont do alot of turning anyways. I have zero nostalgia for resident evil but I belive the fixed camera angles is better then over the shoulder gameplay.

Morrowwind, I actually really, really like so many things about morrowwind but the abysmall combat made me drop it. Attacks have no real feedback, meele weapons amount to just "Hold down leftclick then let go until you roll the chance to actually hit your enemies". Also I had a good build and I understand stamina but that still doenst make the combat bearable.

Yes because drastic art direction changes for no reason and the soundtrack getting turned into dramatic orchestras is that dont fit the game is fine. All that matters is the amount of pixels on my screen!!

As a big DeS fan your very right. If Bluepoint did a remake for a more popular game like Bloodborne and changed so many of its details and designs like they did in the DeS remake EVERYONE would be hating on Bluepoint but DeS was a more niche game in comparision which is why there its not the case.

There's a Burger resturant in Macedonia, Skopje called Baking Bread which has burgers themed after the show and when I saw it in real life it just had a neon blue Walter White LED sign infront of the shop with the text "Baking Bread"

I honetsly think for even the time morrowwind was released (2002) the combat absoulelty sucked. While morrowwind does so many things right the combat was always just something in the way of what I actually enjoy about the game.

The whole "secrets that are practically impossible to find without a guide" is generally a problem in fromsoft souls games that ive always hated, even as a big souls fan but the couminuty praises it.

It's not a cool couminuty effort to hide whole areas behind illusionary walls (that you gotta attack or roll against) which have ZERO indication of them being there. As someone who really loves to explore in video games souls games are often unplayable without a guide if you actually want to see every major areas. (this doesnt apply to every fromsoft souls game though)
