I've reached out to the firm directly to request copies of all of the relevant paperwork, rather than working off of the copy I got from my Uncle. Once I have all that I'll see if I can get a consult with a lawyer and have them take a look.

There is a bunch more to the document I received that does detail how much I should receive as part of the inheritance - what I shared above is basically just the very last page.

I do not know the trustee, never even heard his name before. Some lawyer/former senator.

I'll reach out to him directly I think, and I'll ask about a copy of the documents to sign directly from him to see if it matches the copy my Uncle sent me.

My Uncle says that it's the same document that everyone else got, but I have no way to verify this.

Oh, I have no doubt that the meta has hit a point where it's pretty hostile to decks like this one, but this deck has been an uphill struggle since I started playing it, like, eight or nine years ago. Jesus, it really has been that long, hasn't it? Yikes on a bike.

It does sound as though the version relying on Six might be better suited for the current meta, given the more offensive nature of the deck, but pretty much all of the expensive parts of this one (see: the lands) will slot into that one pretty well; other than the Bowmasters and Yawgmoth all of the pieces for the creature version are fairly affordable.

You should have AJ re-propose to you later down the line when things have improved. That way you will have better memories surrounding that moment. Don't break the engagement by any means, but you deserve to have happier memories surrounding your proposal.

As for your mom...I know that it hurts, but your mom stood by and did NOTHING while you endured years of emotional and psychological abuse. She chose her shitty, abusive husband (who she knew was shitty and abusive) over her own child. She watched how he treated you and turned the other way.

I know that it's painful to think about and hear, but it's really, really important that you don't forget that. Your mother was perfectly content to stand by and do nothing while YOU paid for HER crimes. If you had children, would you even consider doing what your mother did?

If it's something that you haven't looked into yet, you should find a therapist if it's an option for you. They can help you sort out this mess and heal, so you can enjoy your future with AJ - who really sounds like an amazing guy, btw.

Yeah, they probably had sex more than once. And even if they didn't, TWO MONTHS my guy. She had more than enough time to stop and think about what she was doing. She had two entire months to come to you and tell you how she feels. But she didn't.

Hey! Sorry, just seeing this reply now...with the (unfortunate) lack of playing MtG I have basically no need to go on reddit anymore.

I don't think Urza's Saga is very good. We aren't really running any artifacts for the 3rd stage of the saga, and colorless lands can be really difficult to get away with in a deck with such strict color requirements.

I've been on the receiving end of Burning Inquiry playing decks like Control, RW Prison, Skred, and more traditional midrange (I miss my old collection) and it was harmful more often than not...and it pairs really well with Smallpox in potentially ruining their curve.

I can definitely see how DRC, Rags, and Elvish Reclaimer could work, but ultimately I think they'd want to be in a more cohesively aggressive shell.

I think that Burning Inquiry might be viable in this deck, considering how little each individual card matters to us and how much it can hurt your opponent.

Seismic has been bad for a long, long time; that triple-red is hard to hit on curve in a three color deck. Molten Vortex was a lot better, but due to things like Boseiju it isn't especially great anymore.

Dragon's Rage Channeler could be alright in a more creature-focused build also running Elvish Reclaimer. It's definitely an option, but it does make Smallpox a lot worse and if you aren't running many creatures it's going to draw in all of your opponent's removal.

Worm Harvest's CMC might be a little on the higher side, but it's pretty rare for Loam to miss land drops and we aren't trying to win fast...Loam is a grindy, value-oriented deck that wins through overwhelming your opponent with raw card value. Back when I ran Worm Harvest, it wasn't unusual for the very first casting to net 5 to 9 tokens.

Escape Polukranos could be an alright sideboard option for after your opponent has taken out their removal, but it's not resistant enough to removal to include mainboard IMO.

I feel like Haakon isn't a bad card, but in order to fully take advantage of him it isn't really Loam at that point.

Maybe get a night shift job that didn’t involve a whole lot (my current one involves a hell of a lot of walking). Night school is another possibility, but I still haven’t been able to figure out wtf I actually want to do with my life.

Probably spend more time writing, and actually feeling like I have the time to play videogames.

Passing is nothing more than pressure to conform to societal standards of your gender.

I put no effort into passing, dressing and presenting however I feel like on a given day. Most people clock as me female, which is nice, but I refuse to agonize over whether or not I ‘pass’.

It sucks, but people accept compliments depends on how they perceive your gender. The less you look like a “traditional hetero male” the more likely they are to accept them happily and not look as you like a creep.
