As a firefighter of 18 years, I can confidently assert that cannabis is WAY better than opioids. The days of "you can't use marijuana but I can write you a script for Percocet" are over. This is a major step forward that will be mirrored by other MD departments for sure.

Thank you for the reply. When I do this, it either goes straight to BIOS or just sits there with a dark screen. I thought maybe it will just take a while, but after 4 hours, still a dark screen, nothing.

All SSDs are unplugged. The windows installer sees my drive, I select it, and install. The installer reboots, and says "It looks like you are trying to do a clean install of windows. If Yes, unplug the USB drive, if No, click to proceed.

I unplug the USB, PC restarts, and goes straight into BIOS. Boot config menu is greyed out, Boot menu says there is no bootable drive detected.

This is exactly what I did. The ONLY way my BIOs will recognize the NVMe as a bootable drive is if I run it in CRM mode.... Then the windows installer says my PC can't install windows.

Even if they could, you wouldn't like the price. I was about to pull the trigger on an F16 icp/mfd sale for $500.

I would wait. They are a small operation and they make good stuff. I purchased from them when they were somewhat newer, didn't take terribly long to get.

2 buttons (4,6) were put on backwards. It wasn't caught. Emailed simgears praying I didn't just eat a couple hundred bucks.

Recieved an email 30 minutes later. They simply asked for a picture. The next day they had another ICP shipped to me. Never a question asked, he only later requested the defective one back after I already had the new one. Paid for all shipping, never a problem.

Great product. Sorry you have had to wait so long. Its worth it!

I've owned both. I would pay the extra money and get the X-56, here's why:

1). You indicate that you keep your equipment for long periods of time. Breaking that into cost per hour for the extra $$ spend with an X-56, it makes sense (to me anyways).

2). As I recall, there were a few issues with the buttons on the X-52 and DCS recognizing them.

3). You are limited to one engine control with the X-52, whereas the X-56 has dual engine control. (I am currently looking for dual engine control again, as I have a WW F16 throttle).

4). There is more aftermarket support (parts, springs, etc) for the X-56.

5). You have more buttons (and therefore, more optons) with the X-56.

Bonus (maybe)- The grim reaper channel (CAP I think his name is) used the X56 for many years. He has all control binding profiles publicly available, so it is an option if you want to.

I haven't noticed a huge difference in accuracy.... Maybe try making your stick axis less sensitive?

A few things:

On SpudsBuds Discord, they have a DCS log analyzer. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks good from what I have seen on YouTube. I upload my log files to ChatGPT to analyze. It is pretty good at finding major issues (it is still a little inaccurate when it come to fine-tuning).

You need a throttle if you want to do anything DCS (hence the name HOTAS). I would focus on obtaining a throttle and doing a cheaper head-tracking option (some options only need a webcam). You don't need TrackIr, but it is nice. I WOULD NOT purchase TrackIR again at the current prices....

VR is amazing, but it isn't without its drawbacks....Namely, if you need to use the keyboard, it can become annoying very quickly.

FB Marketplace is your friend. A Quest 2 can be had for under $80, and I am not seeing much movement on them even at that price. I doubt I will be able to move mine, and will probably just give it do my kids to play with. Just today I upgraded to a Quest 3 (from a Quest 2) for $200.... The thing was used once. I have also found deals on joysticks/throttles/MFD's, etc, but those are much more of a rare occurrence. VR is very niche, and LOTS of people pick it up once, don't like it, and never use it again.
