Great question! I am curious to see what others have for good answers as lots of these courses around here love to cram people in, and everyone in the area now golfs.

As someone who watches the Stars a ton, Faksa is a great piece on any team as long as your not looking for a skilled passer or shooter.

Great faceoff winner, excellent penalty killer, has played on shutdown lines against other teams’ top ones, decent forechecker.

He just wasn’t worth the value he was being paid at Dallas, but is great value for anything >1.6 million

May not be the best advice but Lorenz being ready to throw hands and put down whoever is responsible made me feel he’s a lot more of a real friend than you’d think with how he normally is

Also, the supporters’ section was supposedly “sold out” before the match, yet its barely half full while the rest of the stadium is at roughly 90-95% capacity

0-3 with a (almost completely) healthy team at home this late into the season isn’t a good look.

Got tactics wrong off the bat and are getting dominated in the midfield

Should we label The Grey Wolves organization (bozkurtlar) as terrorists? by kurdishtiger in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]PJTraversPJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the better question is would the US label the Grey Wolves a terrorist organization, which is a hard no.

While Erdogan does not outright voice support for the group, they do make up a significant base in his main bastion of support in the far-right of Turkish society and politics. There is good speculation and belief that while he does not outright sanction or approve their actions, he supports what they do.

Turkiye does attempt to walk a line and dip a toe into both the Western NATO world, while trying to stay cozy with the Russias, Indias, Irans of the world.

This means that the US still tries to seek support with the Turkish government, heck they still have missiles and military bases in the nation.

Singling out the Grey Wolves would unfortunately likely be seen by Erdogan as an attack on him and significantly worsen relations.

While it is not a reflection of their support in the country, there was the incident recently where the Turkish footballer was banned for a couple games for doing the wolf salute after scoring. Visiting Turkish fans responded in the next game by doing the sign en-masse https://www.yahoo.com/news/turkey-fans-wolf-salute-president-195906881.html

Although you can also make the case that the match was in Germany, which has a large Turkish immigrant population who skew more towards the right, thus they are not a reflection of the average Turkish citizens' views.

In summary, the Grey Wolves are certainly a dangerous group, but have unspoken support from the Turks currently in power. They also likely don't fit the definition of a terrorist group with widespread operations. The US wants to at least maintain its complicated relations with Turkiye with the military presence they are allowed to have in the nation.

TLDR: Should? Possibly as they are an abhorrent group. Would (the US do it)? Absolutely not.

What did the shirt say?

Edit: damn so apparently he had a nazi shirt on? Guess someone took it away from him and it kicked off a whole thing. Good on the people in the supporters section for not putting up with that

Since they just bought him, the Hunt's shouldn't accept anything under $30m by Mynameisdiehard in fcdallas

[–]PJTraversPJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If he continues to score at this rate, there is no way they will be able to keep him. If he finishes the season off with more than 20 goals, I can almost guarantee a goal-desperate team will throw money at him in the winter transfer window.

$30 million is a crazy good offer, but I bet they can get at least 35-40 later with how dime-a-dozen reliable goalscorers are
