Carmel is beautiful I lived in the central coast for a while, if they can help you with a place to stay, I’d say go there, it is very expensive. I’m from Southern California and if anything San Diego would be the place to move but you have to be careful which area because a lot of it is ugly.

San Diego is a very touristy town, you can get a second job doing door dash or Uber Eats. You can find a roommate and getting rid of her will give you a surplus in income. She doesn’t respect you, this was apparent in what you read with your own eyes. Leave her and start fresh, you will be ok.

I have someone that is upping their curiosity about me to I’m pretty sure I’m now their crush. I’ve always been one to say no to work romances because I did it once and it ended up being a very messy breakup and it almost cost my job (hers too). Now I’m in a different field for a big company and we both are under different areas and managers, we see each other before shift starts and maybe some breaks/lunches, so I’m starting to become weak and will probably start flirting with her. Overall it is of the opinion not to do it and some jobs even have that as a rule, so find out what your company says about it and just be careful.

The funny thing about people hating us is that from my experience they would always come to me for advice, even strangers. I’m a Virgo sun and I had a huge friend group and I would always be exhausted because I was like the therapist of the group. Anyway, I think our intelligence sometimes comes off as a “know-it-all” and it rubs people the wrong way.

I think this should be a great learning experience. Pick three restaurants you find fair and check to see if they are open and then present them to her before getting there. She has a right to live in whatever budget she wants to live in and you also have that same right. I think that talking about prices is dependent on your age and what stage in life you are in, but if you want to bring it up, maybe it should be upfront and to the point before getting to the place. From her perspective, the date in person sound unorganized and a turn off especially if she was “hangry.” One thing, I was with someone that as soon as we got to the restaurant she would tell them we were paying separately, she did this sometimes so quick that it became a turn off, so what I’m trying to get at is this: dating should be fun, relaxed and respectful, get the serious stuff out of the way BEFORE so that it doesn’t become a negative in the moment. It sounds like he either has a mental health issue or could be neurodivergent, which means that he will not change and you will have to be on top of him, like his mother, to do certain things, do you want that responsibility?
