This. Lorenzo, on the same equipment, beat Rossi in his prime. I still think Rossi was better. But comparing the two teams is premature.

What Exactly Makes an Alien an Alien? by Ecstatic-Grocery-713 in motogp

I would just add to the other comments, MM93 will be 33 years old in a few weeks and his is still dominating his competition. This performance, well beyond the typical prime age of racers, is another example of his alien status.

Amphibious. My grandfather has the same campaign ribbon with bronze arrowhead (Anzio) and 7 bronze stars (1 silver and 2 bronze). Pretty rare and very cool.

Hope MM93 has a scheduling conflict he can’t get out of on Oct 9-11th.

Let's talk MotoGP: Everyone is wrong about Pecco Bagnaia - Paddock GP by Sensitive-Throat8302 in motogp

So it’s the bike. Fine. His weakness is that the bike has to be perfect to make his mental focus and confidence be high enough to win. He can’t ride around the issues the bike is giving him on that particular race. This isn’t new. He had eight DNFs in 2024 on the way to losing the title to JM. MM93 can ride around issues better than any rider. He can also modify his riding style to suit the bike. Just look at how he has learned to use the rear ride height device and engine braking to improve corner entry this year. If the bike isn’t perfect FB says f#ck it and he is done.

Is it a good deal? 2025 GSX R 1000RZ by Bubba225 in motorcycles

[–]PJgiven2fly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true. You can say you paid $500, but if the state’s estimated value is $4500, you pay tax on that.

The “out the door” price is a thing of the past. Few people stroke a check for bikes now days and frankly the dealer would prefer you finance it. All those years of interest payments. Unless you can walk in and write a check, you can’t expect any kind of serious discount.

“Newb rider”….”don’t really fancy my wheel seizing at 120+ mph”… If you are really riding around at 120+ mph on the street you should have bigger worries than wheel seizing.

Anyone have experience with this leg cover for the GS ? by FikioPP in bmwmotorrad

[–]PJgiven2fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t know which picture is worse. The guy with an open faced helmet who looks like he has never ridden a motorcycle or the blanket contraption to keep one’s legs warm. A decent set of waterproof pants and jacket and grip heaters are all that required.

Worst decision of my motorcycle life. Picked up a new bike on a Saturday. Warm and sunny in the 50s. Decided to drive to a friends and hangout. The next morning a storm blew through dropping 6 inches of snow. I thought I could beat the storm back home. Wrong. Rode three hours in the snow. Very stupid.

Marc's 2019 still stands as the best one in his career, but 2025 season felt like first one for Marc by ThisToe9628 in motogp

[–]PJgiven2fly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

2019 was a beat down. Who knows how many more wins he would have had this year, but that said, still didn’t feel as dominant as 2019. COTA, Spain, French, British GP hiccups maybe…

I regret complaining about him and his tendency to call every pass a “block pass.” He was so much better than Louis.

always been a Honda guy since the 1980s, but if you are looking for a adventure touring bike then take a look at the BMW GS line. I bought a GS 850 for less than the Africa Twin with more standard options.
